Is there a stated time that the would have landlord has to give back the deposit. We have no signed lease, I have absolutely given her a signed formal letter stating that we will no longer be renting the dwelling and have asked her for the deposit back. Now as a catch up, I have previously asked a question about a possible landlord that has too many no's and orders and even wanted us to keep the electric & water bills in her name to get away without paying the cap. Gains tax. She stated that we did not have to do it, but that was the straw that broke the camels back, so to speak... We have not moved in just put down a hold deposit.
I believe that we are due the entire amount back regardless of the time that she says we have now wasted of hers. And the money that she will need to put back up to re list it on line...
just making sure that she does not have a leg to stand on here...

I am in the process of getting my BSN and I was thinking of getting my cosmetology license too because I have an interest in doing hair on the side. Would that be time consuming considering that being a nurse has a lot of crazy shift hours?

I am in the process of starting up an LLC for a web-based business. I need to know what state I should form it in. I am a US citizen currently living in NY, and I hope to be able to operate the LLC in either Delaware or Nevada. But my LLC will only have 1 member which will be me. Now I read that a single member LLC is ignored. Here is the statement, "Generally, when an, LLC has only one member, the fact that it is an LLC is ignored or “disregarded” for the purpose of filing a federal tax return. Treasury Regulations Section 301.7701-1,-2,-3" "If you prefer to file as a corporation instead of as a “disregarded entity” Form 8832 must be submitted." http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p3402.pdf

Is this true, and if so would it be best for me to start an S corporation instead.

Also i'm not to clear about Registered agent. Could someone help me shed some light on this, also could someone recommend a good Registered agent. Thanks!

I've been turned down from alot of jobs because I don't have experience (such as working in sales), even though i know I can do the job with ease. How am I supposed to get a job in selling things if nobody will hire me because I need experience? Most of my friends I know have said they lied to obtain jobs. Do I need to lie? Is that what this world is coming to? If not, how can I prove im worthy?

Let's say a person is the 100% owner of a business and contributes the maximum amount to that business's SIMPLE IRA. This person is also the 50% owner of another similar business in a town a few miles away, and he wants to start a SIMPLE IRA plan there. Would he be able to contribute the maximum there, too?

Long story short, is the maximum you can contribute depedent on the number of plans you are in, or is it aggregate?

Whenever I go to a Librarian interview and they ask me what are my weaknesses in this area, I never have a good answer.

I'm not saying I don't have weaknesses in different areas of life or if it were a different field, however, working at a library allows me to use those areas that are my strengths which is I'm sure part of the reason I earned my Masters in this area. I love the people, finding information & sources. I'm good at the desk work that's part of the work, ordering books, etc....But just for tomorrow, could someone enlighten me in answering this. It may help someone else who stumbles on answering this question also.
