I just got married, and my new husband owes $3000 in back taxes. I recently read people's answers to a similar question, but I would still like to make sure. We have 2 children, and I usually receive a very nice refund at the end of the year. Will the IRS take that refund from me now that I am married? In this situation would it make more sense to file married filing separately?

Also, the debt is very old, from 1999. Is it still possible for him to contact the IRS and make arrangements to pay the debt off in installments?

Any help would be appreciated!

I need to ship items on the shipping date located on the "Create a Sales Order" page. Each day I would like to print the Sales orders based only on the shipping date, which i have manually entered when creating a new sales Order. Currently it shows me items that can be printed from the date of entering the order.

so, i've got a degree in poli sci and i've recently been thinking about pursuing a career in nursing. I know that I can go to a community college to become an RN...but what other options do I have?? Since I already have a four year degree, can I go to a university for a RN or even a BSN degree?? I want some advice as to whats best for my situation.

An unhappy client has slandered my company on his blog.

And it was the only project that fell through. A leading company in the field, all our other products are well recognised in the field, and we have won several awards as well.

The fiasco ended 6 months ago, but I came across the blog today which shows the entry on Google Search when I type in our Company name. This could harm the companie's integrity. Should I tell my boss (company owner?)

I have done a few job searches in the Internet, and almost all the employers are asking if I'm eligible to work in the U.S. and this gives me confusion. I'm a Filipino resident citizen. I have trained twice in Houston, TX for oil and petro accounting and was given a B1 visa. Now, my visa has expired since I'm just required to work within the time provided by it. In my case, how will I answer if I'm being asked the above question?

I had a credit card with a balance of $300 that unfortunetly did not get paid. The balance then rose to above $1000, however, that credit card company charged my account off and sold the debt to another company whom did not disclose to me any of their finance charges or terms of payment prior to taking me to court. Now they want to collect almost $1500 from me when the bought the account for an incredibaly lesser amount. If I go to court is there any way I can only pay them what they bought the account for plus the 9% interest they are charging instead of what the credit card company charged off? Or am I not obligated to pay this company because I did not originally owe the debt with them but with credit card company who charged it off and stopped pursueing me?.....PLEASE HELP! COURT IS ON THE 18th!

i am a graduate in arts with a negligible percentage. i am married to an army officer and want to know what all avenues are open for me. i am planning to go ahead with b.ed as this particular field will allow me to remain with my husband at all times. however i am open for higher education or small scale business opportunities as i feel i have the knack for both. ok ok i know i said that i have a neg. percentage in graduation but my studies at that time got really affected due to big problems at home. now i really want to move forward and my grad percentage always comes in the way...please help...

It's a little past due but we're not too worried...my girlfriend needs to file her income tax return and I did a preliminary 1040EZ and she's owed a refund. She lived in NYC during the 2006 work period but moved to NJ in early 2007. She will be filing everything under the old address (in NYC, NY) but can she redirect the Federal/State refund check(s) to her new address which is different from what is on her W2 statement? Does she just use her new address when filling in the Federal & State tax income tax forms?

I owed $4,500 in tuition. Because of late payments, my account was charged off to a collection agency. The agency letter charged me $12,000 +in tuition and $6,000+ in collections fees to give me a total of little over $19,000. What can I do? This isn't fair. Plus being that this has been reported to the collection agency, this will appear on my credit report which is already in bad shape? Help!!!! I'm desperate.

I just graduated from college with a degree in finance so i know more than the average person, but i don't feel my schooling prepared me adequately for truly being successful in the investment world. I was thinking about getting in on some penny stocks to just learn the basics and learn how a follow and predict s dtckd activity. is this a wise plan, I am very interested but being in MS there aren't many brokerage firm I can go to and hassle people about taking me under their wings so I just gotta make my own lane. this person has stayed with me for about three months, has no job, no car, no friends and she has become a nightmare to have around.
