Collection agencies are not required to report to the credit bureaus, only the courts.
You must contact the agency where you paid the bill and get a letter from them stating that the judgment is satisfied. The letter will have to be copied and sent to all three credit bureaus, then you will have to wait another thirty days for it to show on your credit report.

regrettably, the credit reporting gadget is thoroughly callous on the subject of the circumstances at the back of defaults and overdue money. there is no mechanism to ingredient extenuating own circumstances right into a credit status/score....A default is a default in accordance to FICO. besides the incontrovertible fact that, in circumstances like procuring a house, the place human beings definitely overview your credit, then circumstances like it incredibly is generally factored into the selection technique. As stated above, you have written statements put in your credit records, yet definitely, it incredibly does not have any result on your credit and it is probable a waste of time. ============= Edward: the two calm down or quit posting your judgmental solutions in this talk board..
