I am in the process of getting my BSN and I was thinking of getting my cosmetology license too because I have an interest in doing hair on the side. Would that be time consuming considering that being a nurse has a lot of crazy shift hours?

It would just depend on your NICU work schedule. You could only work part time as a stylist. Are you thinking of doing this out of your home or working for another person?

You might not have enough energy to do alot of hair on the side. I guess it depends on how much more you take on other than nursing. If you think you can handle it then go for it. Just remember is it more important to be a good caregiver(nurse) than it is to do hair. Just make sure you get enough rest for your nursing job. Good luck

You could do it, but those neonatal babies don't have that much hair, do they?
