resorted to getting money off my parents. ( I still don't think this teaches me any lesson) any way, on the subject, my mum thinks I should buy a house/unit with help from them. Never knew what my plans of future were going to be when I was a kid but never thought I would buy a house on my own. My mum says that it is better to buy just in my name, that way I won't get screwed over if a relationship goes sour. I have been in two before and have left for certain reasons. I feel very unhappy about this decision and I feel controlled, but I know she just wants the best for me. I have committment problems. She and I have been close but now I think she is destroying my self esteem by looking after me so much, and I thought the only way to learn is to learn from mistakes, and she is not letting me make those major mistakes. The thought of buying a house with someone sounds easier, but is it really a problem. Please help me...i am so upset. I can't commit to work properly let alone a house!!

am 22 i feel so lost i have been out of high school for almost 3 years i've done a year of city year and worked 2 years i am thinking about going to college but feel that i am too old to be starting college i sould be in my 3 or 4 year will it be weird because of my age will it be differant because of my age i also have felony for robbery and feel a degree would be a waste of time because i will be unable to get a good job i want to become a social work can i with the felony

Me and my housemate are the only names stated are on the standard assured shorthold tenancy agreement and hence legally the tenants of the flat. Her boyfriend is here for average 3 days a week and stays overnight. As the other tenant, do I have the right to say no to that? Her friend does not contribute to the expenses of the flat but does the laundry, watches TV, use of shower etc. She insists that this is well within her rights to have visitors, which she feels infringed when I asked that her friend should only stay a maximum of 2 nights per week. Anyone have any website that is from an authoritative source or any other ideas that could dismiss her argument?

On my W-2 form there's a box that reads
STATE INCOME TAX-240.69
which to my knowledge it means that the state of MD took 240 dollars off my wages, right? Now, when I was filing for my federal return online via Turbo Tax it was easy until I got to the state filing. Since I make a living based on tips I figured I would be owing the stated of MD $240. My hourly is only 2.50 plus tips and I always figured I wasn't making enough to cover taxes and that I would eventually owe the state of MD tax money. However, when I was doing this online it kept reading as state return. Does that mean I'm getting the money back? I don't think I should. Or should I jat least file my federal for now? What should I do? I'm soooooo confused!!!

I have printed all the GMA sites that they guarantee that all are legit business opportunities and most I have found are AGAIN, just scam! I also went to HomeJobStop(which is the best organized) but again so many are just scams, you waste your time to get no pay! I did sign up for on-line juror.com and have received two questionnaires that I participated in and was paid $175 for each. That was really interesting and pd.well but not many in my county so I can't really make a living on them. Everyone has a scam going it seems and so many want you to visit their websites so they can get referral and again, most lead no where! I am very disappointed that Tory Johnson from Good Morning America has made a reputation on the guru of solid based home jobs that anyone can do, but again, I have done much research and find that she mainly wants you to sign up for hourly consultation or buy one of many of her books! I have found zero on her website that have been useful. Any suggestions? Thanks

I'm a full-time married student, and I only worked for about a month for the summer of 2006. My employer gave me the option to either take taxes out of my paycheck already, or I get 100% salary--I believe it's called a 1099--where I manually have to collect and pay the taxes in tax season, and I chose the SECOND option. I only earned about $1500, and people have been telling me that if I earn less than $3000 I don't need to file taxes. Also, my wife didn't work at all for 2006 since she's a full-time student too. So, is non-filed tax thing true, and if it's true or not, please explain =(. Thank you in advance.

I am so fed up with jobs that do not pay me what I am worth! I go in as the low man cause that is how I can get hired, as soon as the company knows all my skills they take advantage of them and give me a small raise but require many of my skills to be put to work, is there a better place to use these? I am mechanically inclined, I weld, I am a wiz at electrical, I can operate heavy equipment, I am a terrific problem solver, I am an awsome designer, I even do video editing and photography! I am a jack of all trades, the only thing missing is certifications in any of them. I had to file because of 500,000$ plus in medical bills because of cancer. I need a new one ton or bigger truck to continue to work. I drove over 210,000 miles last year in a two door truck,no sleeper, slept in front seat,
My retirement is 1500$ a month so I could use that as payment. but because of past no one will talk to me with out wanting 13% or more interest. I've worked at my company for 7 and half months already.I love my job as a purchaser even tho it is stressful and I must follow the datelines.The downside is that my boss is racist towards me,my supervisor is so uncouth(she would shout or burp loudly even when there is a supplier/customer),my colleagues think I m incompetent and they treat me like I m not there.If u were in my place what would u do?
Tolerate them or quit?
