OK. TECHNICALLY I WAS UNEMPLOYED ALL YEAR LAST YEAR, BUT I DID WATCH MY SISTER'S BABY DAILY FOR 8 MONTHS AND SHE PAID ME WEEKLY TO DO SO. I WANT TO USE THIS INCOME TO FILE TAXES THIS YEAR, BECAUSE I GENERALLY RECEIVE A REFUND DUE TO MY INCOME AND DEPENDANTS. SO MY QUESTION IS HOW DO I GO ABOUT DOING THIS? WHAT INFO DO I NEED TO FILE USING THIS INCOME? IS THIS POSSIBLE? IF SO, HOW DO I DO IT?

It's the middle of January in the Northeast and I cannot dig a hole in the ground. Will it be okay if I put some soil in a flower pot and put it in the yard? Any one have any insight on this?

I had a record sealed about 1 year ago... How can I check that it really has been sealed? I'm just starting to look for a new job, and I'd hate to find out the hard way..

I have significant mortgage interest paid in 2006 on my home and all of my income was subcontractor (1099) income.

In 2005, my tax preparer told me I couldn't deduct the mortgage interest on 1099 income but now several people have told me that I can.

Which is it? Can I deduct the mortgage interest against my sub contractor income?

Thanks!

No technical skills other than those that were part of the eliminated job. So it's not a matter of finding the job at another facility.

Suffice it to say this man is extremely depressed and worried sick.

My daughter just turned 17 on dec 27 and has been working at her job for around 3 months. But she has had other job last year.

She is a dependent on my taxes and I recieve Earned Income Credit for her and her son.

My question is does she file taxes this year, She thinks she may have made over 4 or 5 thousand but has not gotten her W2's back yet.

My other quesion is how will it effect my Earned Income Credit? I know she is still a dependent on my taxes this year but I want to know if my Earned Income Credit will go down.?

Also, what are the different amount that you have to make with federal and/or state. ?

This equity line of credit pymt is steep for me. Rec'd offer for credit card 2.99APR fixed for life. (1st Natl Bank of Omaha) Is it better to open the credit card with the 2.99 for life? The int. won't be tax deduct. but the pymts should be more manageable. My firs mtg has 5.99 fixed & I'm 4 yrs into it. I think I should keep it as is. Thanks for any advice.
