So the other day a member of the management team approached me. I have known her for many years (since 1993) when I started out in the organization as student for a career preparation program. Anyways she tells me that she heard that I applied for a posting as a Coordinator (promotion) and that she was happy that I did. Then she offered me some coaching that she said she was not offering to anyone else. She said that we could meet for a beer one day after work if I was interested. I have not given her an answer yet. I think it could be a test and as well would not keep me on my toes in gathering info that I need from more accepted and viable sources.

What do you think the ramifications of accepting this could be?

upon 1 year after termin. date , i was told that my 401k retun could be more /less than what was quoted to me at end of calendar year 2006. it will be watched by someone who is to invest it ,so my 401k$ could increase or it could be less than what i had been vested with @ end of 5 yrs. I then can roll over or cash out. Any ideas on what this means? my 1 yr termination date is 4/2007.
thanks

I have a girlfriend who is great and we have been together for 4 years. She is fantastic in every way except for managing her finances. She currently earns more than me but she is always overdrawn and I have had to bail her out on more than one occassion.

She was brought up in a house where her father spent money loosley and she was never taught to appreciate the values of personal finance management. I have tried to broach the subject several times but it always ends in a arguement and she becomes really defensive. She doesnt open her bank statements and sometimes she even hides them! She can never estimate her current bank account within £300 + or - !

What can i do to make sure she sorts this issue out without having any more arguments? I don't want to live like a pauper and grow old with her in a dingy bedsit! lol.

It's got to be legal. Also:

1) Not medicine, law, or dentistry
2) No further schooling
3) No sales involved
4) Willing to work fairly hard, but not too hard. Stress. Who needs it?
5) Not willing to go to Iraq. Also opposed to war profiteering in general.
6) I define "rich" as having a net worth of half a million dollars.

I no longer work for a company and I am waiting for my W-2 so that I can do my taxes (and get my refund). When is this company required to have them to me by? Last year I had them by now, but I called recently and they are not "around" at this time.

I paid a large amount of a campground membership and now Im not in the area anymore and want to get rid of it. I still owe $2000 and I pay yearly maintainance fee. The campground said that I was responsible for finding someone to take it myself. How hard is it to sell these types of memberships? Any tips or suggestions?

I need some advice. I have been trying to move from my current position and applied for an internal move several months ago. We just found out that my husband has been offered a job somewhere else and it would be a great careet move. The same day, I got offered the job I wanted. The problem is that we are going to be moving (when? I don't know). I am torn over whether to pursue this job they are giving to me becuase I know I will be leaving in perhaps 4 months. No one at my office knows about the relocation and I want to take this position for as long I as I can have it to further myself. It's not everyday someone hands you a promotion.

What should I do? Take the job or not? I think I should just because my husband's job might fall through (you never know) and then I will kick myself later. Plus, it's a good career move. It's not personal, it's business right?

Any advice would be great!

I'm trying to find the owner of a building. It is a commerical building wiht a restaurant & some scanking one room apartments above it.
They are basically slum lords and are illegally evicting people. They owners are hidden behind people who do not follow the law in maintaining the building or evicting them.
