I no longer work for a company and I am waiting for my W-2 so that I can do my taxes (and get my refund). When is this company required to have them to me by? Last year I had them by now, but I called recently and they are not "around" at this time.

Your employer must give it to you by January 31 -- If they are mailing it to you rather than giving it to you in person at work, it has to be postmarked by jan 31
