I paid a large amount of a campground membership and now Im not in the area anymore and want to get rid of it. I still owe $2000 and I pay yearly maintainance fee. The campground said that I was responsible for finding someone to take it myself. How hard is it to sell these types of memberships? Any tips or suggestions?

Try listing on rvproperty.com or ebay. There are a number of other websites out there that will list this.
You can also try your local newspaper or bulletin boards.

This can be difficult but the tip I read a year ago was this...
If you advertise and get a reliable lead do not trust the resort to sell it for you! Show up for the negotiations and insist on being a part of the sales pitch... if not they will sell the potential buyer a new membership and you will be left out in the cold.
Insist on being there if possible or send some one in your place
Good luck!

I see folks selling them in the newspaper and on the Internet all the time so obviously someone is buying them. Go to the website for the campground and other campgrounds and attempt to sell it there.
