I'm trying to find the owner of a building. It is a commerical building wiht a restaurant & some scanking one room apartments above it.
They are basically slum lords and are illegally evicting people. They owners are hidden behind people who do not follow the law in maintaining the building or evicting them.

Property tax records have all the information you need. You should be able to go online or directly to the tax assessor's office for the information. It is public record.

Have you tried asking the county for the name? In Iowa we have the assessor's office who has the names of all the property owner. If MN doesn't have this, then ask who you could get the info from. Good luck. What is wrong with people?

The county treasurer has big books of owners according to address. All available to you. No expense. Go to the treasurer's office of the county the building is in with the address of the building and they will give the owners name to you. It is no big secret it is just a matter of knowing how. They can run but they cannot hide.

there are some very sneaky ways to hide the identity of owners of property so good luck, the first place to look is the county court house or city offices. you need to find the plat office, they should list all kinds of things for the address you are investigating. it should list all buildings that ever stood on the property as well as the owners or trustees etc.

Try going to he city halls assessors office and looking at the tax card.
You can also go to the county and look up the deed. My state has a web site will most of the deeds online. nhdeeds.com. Maybe your state does a simular site.

all you have to do is go to the county auditor's website of which the property is in and look up the street address. these days nearly every county in the U.S. has this by now. they also have pics with the real estate info so you can confirm it is the correct property.
