This is with regards to my question, can my lender force me to pay according to their terms? They may be right when they told me that it is only my ex who was relieved with the loan, not me since my name was not included in the bunkruptcy. but my lender reported to the credit bureau that my loan was charged off in 2004. My point is that, from the time my ex filed bunkruptcy in Aug.2004, they stop sending us the bills. That is why I ask in my letter to them in april 2005 that I would still want to pay my loan and that they send to me my billing statement, but they did not answer me nor send the billing statements. And now after almost 2 years, they want me to pay the principal loan. But I have to pay 1000 up front and the remaining within a year, If I could not do it, they will charge me with the principal including the interest which is 2200, that makes my loan 5200 all in all. My lender is a private company, not government. My problem is I can not pay them on their terms

My girlfriend's boss usually gets 10 hours a day that she has to work. she usually opens the store at 10am and is supposed to be there until 8pm. She instead only comes in to opens the store and leaves a couple of hours later and she does this everyday for the past couple of years. she knows the override code for payroll so she just adjusts her hours. My girlfriend and i find this disrespectful and illegal and we want to get her in trouble for it because the rest of us work hard for our money. How much evidence do we need to convict her of these crimes? My girlfriend is scared that if she speaks out that her boss has the rights to fire her, is this true? We want her to get in a lot of trouble and expose her wrong doings. Please help!

I need to know who would get back more money for carrying my daughter. My boyfriend of I. I had her last year in Feb and only worked from about July on, so my income was very low, under 10 thousand. My boyfriend worked all year and made about 22. Who would get back more money for carrying her. I did not claim any dependents when I filled out my stuff for work, and have not gotten my w-2 form in but can go file with my last pay stub. I hope someone can help me with this, because I have heard that the less money you make in a year the more you get back for carrying a dependent. Thanks a lot!

Upon graduating from college in May, I plan on taking my degree and moving from the east coast to the west, specifically Cali. It has been a dream of mine to live in California and I feel this will be the best time to do it since I am young, single and will have my bachelors degree. However I am uncertain as to where to move to in California in regards to the best place to find work. I am going to have my degree in business and would like to pursue something along those lines. Also, I am curious where the best places to live as a young male are in California, which isn't too expensive either, keep in mind I will be just graduating and still have loans to pay off. Thanks for any help...

For example, do online cash advance companies just charge a credit card for cash, pay the transaction fee to the credit card company and charge their own fee to the customer; thus, a cash advance company would take no risk? Then, could a person create a site to do the same and just undercut the margins in this business?

I work in NJ. I recently was injured on my job: I was in a standing restraint with a youth and my supervisor. My supervisor failed to inform me that he wanted to "take the youth down," into a supine position (on her back), and when he went down with the youth, so did I (onto the rocks). I instantly broke my left wrist (distal radius), which required O.R.I.F. surgery. In addition, I am now out of work, on workman's compensation for the next 12 weeks, while I complete physical therapy, in order to regan use and strength of my hand and wrist.

My question is: How long does it normally take to receive compensation? I was originally told that my paychecks would not stop, and that would occur in concession with the pay schedule. However, my payday just passed, and the company failed to send my benefits.

I did contact my company, and I spoke with the claims officer, whom informed me that she would have to get back to me on Monday, in order to tell me when I would receive a paycheck.

Here is the deal. I invest in individual stocks and Janus mutual funds. I started with Janus back in 1997 and of course they did excellent till the crash of 2000-2003....Now I am back in the black and they are doing fairly well again......It looks like they are more diversified now but still very aggressive....I would hate to give it all back again if another crash hits. BUT, at the same time, I don't want to pay heavy taxes either or put the money in another FUND and then it does poorly........So, should I just keep on with them and ride it out? I'm 42...

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
