I recieved notification that I have won a sweepstakes and need to ensure that this is not a scam? They have an address of Po Box 579006 Las Vegas 89157. They did not offer a website or a phone number.

I work in a Tractor salvage yard as a parts rep. Most of the people are upset before they come to me because some sort of their machinery broke. They will end up spending money to fix it, and nobody wants to do that. I've been to a customer service seminar, to tell you the truth, the gentleman speaking didn't really answer my question. Anyone have simmilar problems?

On the one dollar bill, there is the black circle with a letter on it, and around it it says "Federal Reserve Bank Of" and then it lists the city. For example:

B: New York, New York
K: Dallas, Texas
D: Cleveland, Ohio
G: Chicago, Illinois
L: San Franciso, California

But what do the letters mean? There is also another letter more to the left beside a number, and sometimes it is the same number sometimes different, like it will have C1, G2, A2 and so on.

My husband is in the military and had recieved orders to go to a new base. So we started the process of buying a house in new location, then the President came up with this new plan and now we are stuck at our current base until after he deploys. We already signed alot of paperwork and put down $500 earnest money- no money down besides that. My question is now that the orders have been deleted are we still liable for anything here? Can we get back earnest? We havent told the realtor yet-help- closing date is next week!

I'm a stay-at-home-mom looking for some type of work while i'm at home. I want to stay with my children and thought it would be nice to work while i was here. I have looked for things online, but there's always an upfront fee to pay. I was wondering if anyone knew of an online job i can do from home, without having to pay any money upfront?

I was wondering if someone could recommend some carrers that might interest me: I don't want to spend any more than 1 year in school. And I mostly prefer working by myself, i'm not a big people person. I'm more of a loner... I've researched a lot and i'm so worried that I will never find anything for me. I often get bored with jobs and end up quiting just a few months into it... Any advice for me?? THANKS!!

I'm a student at a university and I work on campus as well. I'm a full student who has a car payment, tuition, books and barely makes $12,000. The majority of my income goes into school.

Can put my education as a tax write off? or anything of that nature. I've talked to people and they say I can't and then I talk to others and they get all of it refunded. Any one can help me? this is my third year in school and I'm barely making it through with my income. Thank you.

My son is 17 years old and at college and gets £30 a week EMA money as long as He attends all sessions. I claim child benefit and child tax credits.
I am disabled on disability benefits, also receive income support. I like to keep on the right side of the law, hence this is why I am asking this question.
Out of the benefits for him, I provide for all his needs etc, clothing food, tools for college etc
He wants to take on a part time job to help with his car insurance and tax etc as it is going to cost him quite a bit. I feel terrible that I cannot pay for all his insurance etc as the insurance itself is at least £1,000.
What worries me is, if he takes a part time job will his child benefit and or tax credits be removed or reduced. If he can work part time while at college, are there any restrictions on hours and or pay that he can do / receive while he is a student attending college.
Also as I am on income support I worry it will affect my money as well.

Do the new IRS rules under the Pension Protection Act of 2006 prohibits donors from declaring contributions to charitable organizations unless they can produce records of the transactions impact 2006 filing, or is it for 2007? Also, either way, if I have the records of proof, but file electronically, do I need to do anything, or do I merely hold on to the records for a potential audit? In other words, can I still e-file, or do I need to mail my return in with the documentation of the donations?

It is wood and coal and cost almost $600 the winter of 05. Is $350 asking 2 much? It is like new. No scrathes or dents. All firebricks are in awesome shape. Not cracked or broken. I include 2 3x5 ft fireboads, all the piping, the ash rake and ash bucket and a 15 lb bag of coal.
Maybe the price is 2 high. Is that why I haven't sold it yet?
Are there some catch phrases or something that I should use to get ppls attention?
I am in Maine and it is getting cold.
This year we moved into a mobile home so I can't use it.
