If my employer offers the Roth 401k, can I roll the Roth 401k into my Roth IRA directly? I know you can't do it with a traditional 401k, but can you with the Roth 401k?

You can only do a rollover after you leave your employer. While you still work there, you need to leave the holdings in their plan.

To add to the yes answers...The 5 year period doesn't carry over though. So, any money you roll over from your 401k will be applied to the 5 year period applicable with your ROTH. Which means if you have a ROTH 401k? You'd better have a ROTH IRA too!

in case you roll your 401K right into a Roth you will pay each and all of the taxes up front. you ought to get a typical 401K rollover to place your 401K into. Then in case you nevertheless have extra funds to make a contribution you are able to commence a Roth while you're youthful, or in basic terms upload it to the classic while you're older.
