I just read the answer that turbo tax 2006 is not compatible with WIN 98. My last years taxes were done on a comp that uses WIN 98. When I do my taxes, info from the previous year is loaded to the current year, such as depreciation and such. If I have to use another computer how will Turbo Tax 2006 import Turbo Tax 2005 return information??? I copied the 2005 return to my WIN xp comp but it will not open because I do not have the 2005 CD anymore. please advise - thanks!

My office mate has a bad habit of leaving a couple of hours early on Fridays. This leaves me with the office which gets a bit hectic at closing time. I have begun to call her with questions about her accounts and such and once even told her she would have to come back because I didn't know what to tell her client. Of course I know what to do, but I just want to annoy her as she annoys me by leaving all the time. Is it worth looking incompetent to annoy her like this? My boss will not intervene about her leaving. She has 8 years senority over me.

Seeing that 99.999 % of people that get into mlm end up quiting, I am curious as to their initial reason for getting out. Do they blame 'negative' people like me? Do they blame their upline? do they blame their company for making their product too expensive?

I need to fix up my house and I cannot afford a loan and I need to know how I can get a grant. I know there are grants and grant writers out their who are legit. I need help to get pointed in the right direction! Please help.

I am getting ready to file bankruptcy here in WI (my credit score is only about 400); i was sued by a local private college for classes i took but had to drop out prior to the completion of class; i did not have a FAFSA loan and it is not through Sallie Mae/Fannie Mae -- is this still considered a non-dischargeable student loan?

also, unfortuantely, although i was able to pay my Orchard Bank account on time, it looks like that will be included in my bankruptcy as well.

I have two of those darn payday loans too - i'm filing on Monday and I want to make sure they don't take a payment on Friday out of my bank account so i e-mailed them and i also e-mailed my bank asking them to stop the transaction(s) and have yet to hear back from either company -- any advice to make sure they don't take that huge payment?

There is a certain concept that I need to re-familiarize myself with. I forget what it is called!

One implication of this principal would be for valuing a business for purchase. For simplicity sake, let's say the profit from a business has been estimated for the next ten years. Using this principal (I forget what it is called) the value of each dollar's worth of the tenth year of profits would be worth less than a dollar of profit today depending on the minimum return (as a percentage) that the investor would be willing to accept. So, by applying a percentage, the investor could calculate say 10 years (10th year, 9th year, 8th year, ...) of future profit from a business and arrive at a price he or she would be willing to pay for the business (or investment).

What is this concept called?

I've been out of college for 3 years bouncing from job to job. I spent the past 12 months creating my own business but now I am flat broke and looking for a new job.

I'm not entirely sure what field I want to go into because I had my heart set own being in business for myself. I've got a number of skills and qualifications but I just don't want another job where I'll be stuck in front of a computer screen ready to poke my own eyes out.

Can anyone help shed light on my situation?

We would like to start up some type of investment for our baby for him when he's 18 (ideally to use for college)--what is the best investment to make? What if he decided not to go to college (would we lose the $ if the account was college specific)? We wouldn't be able to contribute much money at first.

I don't want to be showing the house too much before I am ready to move because I am afraid it will upset my kids. Any advice is appreicated.

I'm thinking of starting my own business, or just going on sobatical. I need catastrophic coverage (emergency room visits) and a good prescription plan (to cover long-term meds) at a minimum. For the Rx plan, I'd like to avoid any pre-existing conditions exclusions since some of my meds are expensive. Ideally, I would like to have hmo/ppo coverage like I have now, but it would seem like that can't happen. I've heard some stories about joining certain clubs to this end, but have no specific info.

Thanks in advance!
