I am doing a survey for University in the U.K to find any Old or New Amway Distributors in the U.K and America that I can contact by email to find out how they progressed with the company. This would help me a great deal with my project. Thankyou

My company just went through a reorganization. Before I was a mid-level manager and after I'm still a mid-level manager. Before I was supervising a total of 5 permanent employees and 4-10 seasonal employees and I had a medium level of responsibility. Now I'm supervising 9 permanent employees, 3-10 seasonal employees, and I have a high level of responsibility.

A co-worker of mine, who is also a mid-level manager, went from supervising 13 permanent staff to 7 permanent staff and 1-3 seasonal staff. Here's where the problem comes in. This person has a salary 25% higher than mine.

More particulars: The co-worker has about 15 more years managerial experience than me but has only worked for our company for 1.5 years. I have worked for the company for 4 years now.

Should I argue for a pay raise, given that our budgetary outlook is not good?

I am a nurse and I am proud of it. It is a noble profession and it involves taking care of sick people 24/7 who maybe related or not related to us. But other people take nurse as just a second fiddle job and a doctor's halper. What is your opinion about it?

Lots of debt, well about 3K worth (from both hubby and I). We will have extra money coming in these next few months (Financial aid refund as well as tax refund). I want to pay down our cards by at least half, but at the same time our emergency fund is slacking.

Here's a rundown:
Debt: $3200
Emergency Fund: we have $300 right now.
Cash Deposit (not to be touched) has $2100
Financial aid refund is about $1200, but I need some of it to buy books.
I have no idea what our tax refund is going to be like. We have a child, so we have that credit. Plus at my job, I file as "Single, no exemptions". So I'm hoping about a $2000 refund.

The main question. Should the money bolster our savings, or go to paying down the debt?

I am a young, college educated guy who needs a career path but I hate the fact that most of the entry level opportunities for college grads entail pushing buttons in a cubical. I’m not interested in office attire, politics or anything else. I was thinking about going back to school to become an EMT, and I was also thinking of being certified to teach…these are the sort of gigs that I could handle, no big city high rise for me (at least not as we typically would characterize that experience.) Does anybody have any other suggestions?

I do not mean to offend cubical bound button pushers…I hope you love your job, I’m just looking for a few suggestions. Thanks.

I'm planning to become a CPA. Currently, I'm in college (1.5yrs left) and work part-time as an accounts payable. Recently I was asked to come work at a CPA firm as an assistant in financial planning. The pay and hours are really good compared to my current job.

However, I'm not sure if learning the new things in the financial planning position will stress me out. It's all very new to me. Even though I'm not a brainiac, I am a very hard worker. But is that enough? I just don't want this job to take away too much time away from school. I'll be taking very difficult accounting courses.

I was wondering if I should stay at my current job OR take the new job and learn new things. Will this work experience look better on my resume? If i dont take this job, then will there be lots of other opportunities like this after I graduate? Will this get my foot in the door of the CPA world even though I won't be doing any accounting work?

EVERY bit of suggestions would be greatly appreciated
