This started happening in the summer. Every time, we all were told it was the LAST time this would ever happen, oh, we are so sorry, ect. and they would refund us the bounce check fees our banks charged.
This week was the last straw as there wasn't ANY money to meet payroll.
While I am certainly looking for another job, I am wondering if I and my co-workers have any legal recourse with these clowns? Most of us are now in trouble with our banks for these bounced paychecks as they are now causing our own checks to bounce.

I wrote a check to my lanlord 2 years ago, he "lost" it, and so I wrote him another one, he cashed it, then in Feb (2 years later), he cashed the other one. In other words, he recieved 2 months rent for one month. I didnt stop payment because I "trusted" the guy, and it really wouldnt have done me any good because stopping the payment is only good for 6 months (said my bank). My bank doesnt want to take responsbility and my landlord is playing dumb. Meanwhile, I am out 1500.00. Can someone please help me??

I recently was approved for an apartment but needed a guarantor. The guarantor went through the credit check and was approved, but now is worried that being a guarantor will effect their credit, that the rent for the apartment will appear on their credit report as a debt, etc. What is the rule here? Is the rule different state-to-state? If it won't appear on their financial records, how can I prove to them that it won't and make them feel safe about being a guarantor? All that's left to do is sign the lease...

I own 100% of my S-corp stock. Because of a few planning changes I am giving my wife 10% of the shares. Are there any negative consequences from doing this? (i.e. does this open her up to liabilty issues in case the company is sued?)

If I bought from an online site a certain item that was much cheaper than it was selling on Ebay, would it be ethical to sell that item on Ebay for a profit? The only reason I ask is because it seems to me the only reason I would make money is by the buyer's ignorance. I could simply tell the buyer where to buy the product for a much cheaper price.

Is it legal/reasonable/possible to start a corporation whose sole purpose is to manage and invest a reasonable portfolio of assets into strictly marketable securities (ie. stocks, bonds, options, futures, etc..)?

I have a personal investment account but I'd like to move the assets over to a corporate entity to possibly save on taxes (ie. lower taxes on preferred dividends, interest income, and of course, capital gains). I dont' anticipate needing to remove capital from the corporation (ie. there won't be a need for significant dividends in the reasonable future).

Are there any downsides to doing this? I know that I'd need to file annual reports and perhaps hire a CA/auditor, but is there anything else to be aware of?

So I have 5 homes that i purchased one by one during the height of the dot-coms, rented out, refinanced, then purchased the next. It was smooth sailing, those days, but now I'm in a major bind. I'm behind on my property taxes, one of my homes hasn't sold so it's on the verge of foreclosure, another home was destroyed by my tenants so its undergoing renovations, and i'm even having trouble keeping up with the mortgage of my principal residence. I'm in a complete mess! I've already called all my mortgage companies seeking help, but most of them said they could not do anything about it. One mortgage company with the home that hasn't sold is working with me to try to keep me out of foreclosure, but i'm slipping behind many of my other homes. Does this situation sound similar to anyone else? Does anyone have advice, or stories of the like, they'd like to share? Anything would help. Thanks!

What is a good answer for when they ask...."So what about the job do you think you will like the least?"

I know they are going to ask this question because my friend went to the same interview today that I have tomorrow and he told me. If it helps it is a job as a direct banking sales associate. I dont want to bash sales or say the pressure of selling or anything like that.
