They cost a lot but Timberland is the best. They are not big on steel toes though. Dont mess with the funny colors. Original buck suede is the one and only.

Really like Redwings, but have switched to Wolverines, almost half the cost, and are really comfortable and have a short break-in time... Wear good, as well...

Go to REDWING shoe store. they have scads of very good boots. doctors use them for their comfort in long surgeries on cement floors. Bikers wear them for tuffness and style.
