I am going to start college in January and I was advised to major in Web Design and Computer Graphics. Today I was with a friend who was also going to major in the same thing but changed her mind because she did some research on the job demand for computer graphics and web designs and it isnt all that much because people build their own wesites these days. I like to take photographs and work with different kinds of software. I want to work hard for a degree that is going to help me make good money when I get a job or start a business. Any advice? I started a cocktail waitressing job about a month now, and i never really make enough as i expect BECAUSE i have customers who won't quit saying "excuse me miss, come over here for a second, can i ask u a question? what is your name, where are you from, and blah blah blaah". and during the time i answer their questions..i could be taking OTHER drink orders to get higher sales and more tips. But i don't want to be mean, so i try to talk to them as much as i can.
Then i have other people asking me for my number, and yada yada yada. and telling me to call them, over and over and over again.
My customers tell me i'm nicer than the other waitresses, because instead of asking "what would u like to drink?" over and over again. i ask them "how are you doing this weekend?" and they tell me i actually conversate with them..instead of always trying to "HUSTLE" their money.
And yes, it makes me happy that they think i'm the nicest waitress there, BUT i'm ALSO there to make money!

I been in the handy man business for over two years now. I would run an Ad on CL or local paper and get 10 calls per week. Now since the slow summer I am lucky if I get one and the customer want sthe lowest price. Two Years ago it was a good business now after all this time I see the bus. dying, I know there are slow times in every Bus However I have never seen such a Drop Out.........

Does anyone know how I can find the data for evaluation of the market I am going to hit with my new business (internet jewelry store)? I am trying to put together a business plan as I need to seek funding.

This is what I am told I will need:

Ask
•How large is the potential market?
•How many people or businesses are currently using the product of any firm competing in this category?
•How many prospects have potential use for the product?
•Is the market growing, flattening, or shrinking?

I was told today by a banker that I will “probably need to make this up.” This makes no sense to me. Isn’t there a place where I can access this data on the Internet??? Without having to purchase it???

I run a web site using Yahoo! Merchant solutions that does a good job tracking the page views in real-time. Today at 2:40 PM Pacific time, I had 125 page views according to Yahoo! However, Google Adwords campaign Manager is charging me for 440 clicks. Assuming all the page views came from Google, I am being shorted 315 paid clicks. That is fraud!

My question is Google able to manipulate its earnings through click fraud? Google’s stock price closed on 11-25-2006 at $505.00 per share that remains me of the Internet bubble in the late 90’s that crashed and burned.

Since Google’s main source of income is Adwords and the stock price of a company is set by the revenues, could Google allow the same fraud that can be seen in their Adsense model also take place in Adwords.
