My wife has three years of experience as a nurse tech in a hospital and is shadowing at several hospitals here locally in Kansas City. Since we'd like to relocate, we're trying to figure out how difficult it will be for her to find a job with some hospital experience. She will graduate with an ADN degree but will have her full RN license once she passes her boards.

I bought an epilator (kind of like and electric "shaver") at a store yesterday night, and didn't look at the box. This morning I opened it and realized it was damaged looking and when I looked inside the main part of the epilator wasn't in it! Only the charger (which is heavy and that's why I didn't realize anything was missing) and a little plastic thing that can be attached to it. They screwed me over and sold me a box for $70.00 of my hard-earned money! Oh my goodness what should I do when I go back to the store? What if they're like "No, we can't give you back your money?"

A friend is letting out her house privately. One month ago, potential tenant signed an Individual Tenancy Application and paid a month's rent as deposit. She was given a receipt which stated 'This deposit secures the rental of the house' (and stated the correct address). In the past month,my friend has turned away 5 potential tenants and has been preparing the house for the occupant. She received a letter this morning saying that her tenant had pulled out due to financial reasons. The letter asked for the deposit back in full. She was due to move in in 5 days time. Where does my friend stand as far as returning the deposit is concerned? Is there a legal obligation? Or a moral obligation? What would you do? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
