I paid my November rent with a $1200 cashier check. They say they never received it. When I know who I gave the check to. I found my receipt and before I can deliver it to the office....I lost it. I am now facing an eviction in a couple of days. The bank says I have to wait 90 days. I don't have 90 days or extra $1200 for my rent. What can I do?

Ok, I work for a hotel as the Assistant General Manager now. I went to college and got a bachelor degree in hotel management. I was recently promoted to this position, without a raise! I only make a dollar more an hour than one of the FRONT DESK CLERKS!!! How sad is that! Should I go and look for another job, or should I stick it out and ask for more money! The plan is that I will be getting my own hotel to manage within a year and a half, but I dont know if I want to wait that long..............and by the way, I know I am worth WAY more than what I am making!!! Any suggestions on what I could say to my manager to let him know how I am feeling, or suggestions on what to do would be great!!!!!!!

I have been teaching for three years now, and I am single in my 20s. I am an effective teacher. I enjoy teaching. I enjoy my job. However, I am having tremendous difficulty being able to live to my liking on my salary. How do I know whether I need to change careers? Any suggestions on how to weigh/decide in this very important life matter.

If I was to leave Education, what career would I be best suited for? I HAVE NO CLUE!

My family and I despertaley need financial help. I am the main income earner. ( we have a 12 year old son) We thought like most americians that we were prepared. WE WERE WRONG. We had enough money in the bank for several months, home equity line of credit, life insurance, medical insurance and CC and a CD. I was injured last December 16th I have been unable to work and the doctors are not sure when I can go back. We have used up all savings. I received short term disablity. I have applied for disablity with the government. I tried to work from home doing collections and found out it was a scam we lost about $45 thousand on that. We have managed until this month. Now we can not pay our bills and I was told by social services that we fell threw the cracks. because: we were not illegal ailens, we had not just received our green cards, we had cars worth over 9600.00 usd.; & I had been a productive member of society prior to the accident. Now we are going to lose everything. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Want to be a Victim's Advocate. My guess is I need to major in social work with a minor in counseling. But I need to know for sure.

I want to hear from someone who does this for a living, knows someone who does or is going to school for it themself:

What all does it entail, including stuff I wouldn't have thought would be included in that job.

What schooling/credentials will I need to have before trying to find a job to start this career?

And last, can I specialize in just one kind of advocacy? Or do I get all kinds of cases? I'm most interested in helping rape victims.

wow...hope that made sense,,,,,,
i know there is a lot that can be considered...so i try to boil it down...car wreck ---no fault--had surgery--lost job of 14 years due to company policy, gone more than 3 months from job, job will be terminated---in future another surgery...lawyer said that the amount of claim is higher of what the claim adjuster could approve...so what do you think the "average limit" is...***does this make sense**

I'm 33 years of age and can't manage to get about $10-$12/hr out in Los Angeles. I can't take this anymore. I need to make some decent money... at least $35k/yr. I've been stuck in Audio Post vaults forever... I'm willing to dump Post Production for a decent wage.

I answered an internet ad for "wealth generation". I spoke with Elaine and George Cavellerios and they gave me a verbal agreement that if I wasn't happy with the business model then I would receive my $1,200.00 back.

Well, I'm not happy and surprise, surprise, Elaine and George now say they never gave me that guarantee.
