You can deposit it through your bank's ATM, provided that they offer that service. However, you may be delaying funds for longer that "normal", depending on your bank's balancing proceedures.
Your better bet is to drop the check (in an envelope) in the night depository.
Just make sure, no matter you choose, that you sign the money order, write your account on the item and include a note/deposit slip instructing what you wish to be done with the funds.

Yes! A money order is treated just like a check. As long as it is filled out properly, endorsed on the back, and bearing your account number under your endorsement... You can deposit it in the ATM. Most of the time, you don't even need a deposit slip! It will be processed like any other deposit as if you went inside and handed it to a teller. I find that ATM deposits are a lot more convenient!

You need to have your cousin's ATM account card & his bank account number or a printed deposit slip from his account. At the ATM window of the actual bank, not one in a gas station or grocery store, there are envelopes for making deposits and a special slot for dropping them. You follow the directions on the screen for making a deposit which will ultimately require you to sign the money order and put it in the envelope and then in the slot.

Sure can. ATMs have deposit envelopes. Write Deposit Only, your signature and your account number on the back of the M/O. Access your account on the ATM and hit deposit - type in amount deposited - insert the envelope in the slot that is rolling stuff in. It will be credited the next business day.

no not through the ATM, but you can deposit it in your bank in their night depository if they have one. I assume you are talking about your checking account.
