It depends on what you are doing. There are different duties and they get paid differently. You can be a helper, a residential driver, a commercial (front-end loader) driver, a roll-off driver or a transfer trailer driver. The pay depends on your experience, seniority, your pay plan (hourly or incentive) and any standing union agreements. All in all, it's a job that pays well, with good career prospects, as long as you work for a reputable company.

depends on who you work for. In the smaller towns and such it is not much. In the larger cities it is more.
