I got an offer where I can borrow money from my Credit card for 1.99% APR until Feb. 2008. There is a fee of $75.00 which is minimal as the amount I would borrow would be about $18,000. I can take this money and invest it in a savings account that has an APR of 5.35%. I can make the monthly payment straight out of the account and make an effective 3% interest on the money. Would this be a good idea? The only down fall I see is how the extra debt would affect my credit score over the next year (currently in the mid 700's). However, I do not plan on borrowing any money over the next year and a half.

Why in this digital, lightning-fast age, do ACH and EFT transfers take 2-3 days to get to your account. Why can't it be instantaneous or at least be cleared the next day. I have a theory that banks let it take so long so they can hold your money and make interest off of it :-)

he can actually do with that?If he was to order something like on-line or something I would know and know where to find him.And if he was to try paying for a bill or something it would be traced to him wouldn't it? Is there anything he can do that he wouldn't be caught at,that I should watch for is my real question i guess??

I am looking for information about investing in real estate with private money. I have heard the term and have seen a definition of it that says it is money that is loaned by a private organization, and not a formal one like a bank. Still seems a bit vague to me. Any clarification would be appreciated.

This has been an annual issue of contention at almost every company I've worked at. As payroll has always been a part of my job, I know when it's paid and when it's not, which employee works that Friday and who doesn't. I've noticed that often salaried people try to pull a disappearing act that Friday, whereas hourly people are required by their bosses to show up. I think companies should just make Thanksgiving a two-day paid holiday, and include Friday. Holiday pay should be applied fairly to every employee at the company. Agree or disagree?

whenever employers negotiate starting salary they always use your current salary to start, so I dont see why I shouldnt provide a false floor to my price - after all it is what I do in all other negotiations

Hi I have just got a new job and want to do my resignation letter. I intend putting on my letter that my boss was never off my case and caused me considerable stress (my doctor also signed me off for 2 months). I think this should be pointed out as I also went to Human Resources about him and nothing was done. I will copy in a senior director to let them know of the goings on as well. Can I do this without burning bridges? I have a new job offer and have accepted but they haven't asked for references. I have old references which are excellent.
