The first person here warned you about having to pay them first. Of course you have to pay them first, you are purchasing a business and no one gets a business for nothing.
As for Quixtar...aka....Amway, there are many pros and cons. One of the pros is the product is of very good quality..con: Many similar products are available everywhere for the same price or less.
The thing you have to consider here is your market. Most people run for the hills when they hear Amway, even though they were a pioneer in the industry. Quixtar is exactly the same only with a new name. They have developed a "cult-like" reputation by asking people to attend their many meetings and not telling them up front what it is. People don't like that.
The other thing is that their ship has sailed...long ago. Gone are the days where the baby boomers were raising their families and willing to fill their houses with products that they bought from their own "store". Most of the boomers are empty-nesters now and searching for health and anti-aging. They don't want to pester everyone they know into buying a bunch of products that they probably will no longer use. The company experienced hyper-growth many years ago and they are definately not up to date on the new marketing methods that are far more successful. The new age tools just aren't there. Their compensation plan is very outdated as well. If you do comparisons you will find this to be true.
If you are looking for Network Marketing companies that ask for a much smaller investment, a better comp plan, and a product that people are searching for now, then I suggest you do a check and compare.
They are definately out there.

I know someone who works for them and she said she makes decent money. It is Amway, just online, but there are people I knew in Amway who made millions and were top in their company. The bottom line, you just need to find a business you really believe in. If you are questioning it, maybe you should look into something else.

This is Amway undercover. I would watch out. Be very cautious of any company that wants you to work for them, but they require you to pay them first.
