What requirements do UK retail stores have with regard to maximum dimensions, weight, packaging, labeling, certification, stock holdings, merchandising and promotional material, returns policy etc for outdoor sports equipment that they sell?

Some background: I have designed and made a product for sale in the UK that allows children aged 5 to 12 to undertake sporting activities in their own gardens. As it is a bit bulky and heavy I now want to redesign it so that it can be sold through retail stores like Argos, ToysRus, sports shops etc.

My friend lives with her boyfriend and young daughter. They have a mortgage on 50% of their house - the other half is rented from housing association. They both work full time.

She has recently discovered her boyfriend has run up debts of £60k which they are struggling to meet the minimal payments on along with their mortgage/rent etc; and she can hardly afford to buy food/petrol.

He wants to go bankrupt. My advice to her was to apply for an IVA as an alternative. She has made a provisional phonecall to discuss whether he would be suitable and it seems he probably would.

Her fear is that she will lose her house or have to remortgage the half they own to clear down his debts - and I do not know the answer to this.

Given they are not married and they jointly own the equity in half of the house, would anyone know where she would stand financially in all this mess? Will she lose her house anyway - could he be forced to sell his quarter share? Is an IVA a solution?

follow up with the potential place of employment? I had an interview with two places that I really love but they have not called me. They both gave me cards. Should I call to touch base? Or since they did not call me, I should take it that they don't want me?

In retail establishments, the objective of the “service layout” is usually the maximization of profits per unit of display space. Eye-level display is preferred because of maximum exposure to customers. With limited eye-level display spaces, which type of product will you display/position in such spaces:

a)Slow-moving products with higher profit margin (than fast-moving products)? Or

b)Fast-moving products with lower profit margin (than slow-moving products)?

Clearly specify and justify the basis/bases of your decision. Your answer/explanation should clearly show how the profit maximization objective is better pursued by your decision

I would like to attract clients to hire me to write their business plans. Is there a market for business plan writers? I have owned and sold 6 companies (for nice profits) and have attracted investors to each company via my business plans. I have also had several companies who had seen my work hire me to write their plans. My biggest client was Sun Micro. One of the plans I generated was 78 pages! I would like to write business plans for more companies and am truly one of the best plan writers out there. How would I go about finding people that need business plans written? Should I advertise on Craigslist or have a website developed with a list of my services? I am also a marketing wiz when it comes to putting new companies on the map. I am great with slogans and am also able to get these plans into the hands of hundreds of investors. I am the best when it comes to market analysis, strategy & implementation, financial plan, profit/loss, cash flow, benchmarks, ratios etc...

My friend rents an apt. in a house being sold. The landlord and real estate agents have come at all hours of the day and night to show her apt. to prospective buyers. Does anyone know What rights she may have to require landlord/agents to give a resonable amount of notice (in hours or days) BEFORE someone enters her apt.? Where can I find this information?

i work for a lady boss. she is the owner of the company and i am one of the senior managers who works for her, the problem is i find her very rude at times because she never addressses people properly.

whenever she wants your attention, she will go like "Hey,,," instead of addressing you as Mr or Ms.

she harbours no ill intention, just tht it's her habit.

how can i put it to her subtly to change and respect others? subtly??
