follow up with the potential place of employment? I had an interview with two places that I really love but they have not called me. They both gave me cards. Should I call to touch base? Or since they did not call me, I should take it that they don't want me?

i think it depends on how long its been since the interview. i wouldnt call the next day, but if its been over a week and you still havent heard from them, then i would call.

Since u have a card and contact info, I would suggest emailing them , telling them thank you for taking the time to interview you and again, express your interest, tell them that you are available for any questions or concerns and leave your contact information. An email is now appropriate for followups. I say the more the consistent, the better. If after the email, no one has contacted you, take this as rejection and keep on lookin. Best wishes.

One of the best ways to follow up is to send them a thank you letter for the interview. I would wait maybe two weeks & give them a call. Sometimes the hiring process can be lengthy and it is good to let them know that you are still interested.
