I'm moving to San Francisco in January and I was wondering if there'd be anyway to set up a p.o. box there ahead of time. I want to avoid the frustration of mail being forwarded then getting lost, etc. during the relocation process.

Doing both, I temporarily burned out. I am a mom, and doing both takes me away from home too much. I am a level2 firefighter. If I go back to EMT, I will go back to college and get a paramedics license. But I just can't decide which I want to do.

Is there a website that I don't have to use a credit card online to order a Grant Application? I am looking for a personal Grant as well as a business grant. Received a letter from "Colonial Securities and Clearing House" claiming that I had won a $60,000 sweepstake prize. Included was a genuine looking Cashier's Check for $2900. In the letter it says that it's a partial payment so I can pay taxes.

In the letter there's a phone number and a name. I did a phone check and the number is a Canadian number.

I actually almost fell for it thinking I had really won... until I opened another letter from the same letterhead with another genuine looking check for $2900. It has the watermarks and everything. But this one had a different Canadian number and name. The address on the letterhead was different too.

So what should I do with this? Should I contact the police because I'm sure it's a scam and someone might fall for it.

I understand that dividend stocks are companies which pay their investors a dividend. I know nothing beyond that. Can someone explain to me what these dividends are, how they are paid out, how you find out who offers them, etc.

Our house burned on May 2005, we had replacement insurance on it, and the insurance co won't pay us, so we got a lawyer to fight that, but now what do I do, we moved to another house, and I was thinking that we could just rent the burned house out after it was fixed. So now we have two mortgages, and no rent money. The lawyer said we had a case. But now what do we do since we can't afford both house payments? Can we file bankruptcy on the burned home?

I am trying to help my parents choose a Medicare Advantage plan during open enrollment. They live in San Franciso. Any thoughts or experiences with plans would be very helpful. I have been studying web sites/books and calling providers. I still don't feel I can help them decide. Anyone know about the BlueCross SmartValue or Freedom Blue plans? Or any other plans?

My employer never released an employee handbook detailing vacation/sick/personal day treatments. They only explained that your vacation days must be used in the calendar year and there is no carryover. I have resigned but before I have used days that I earned. Are they required by Federal or State law to compensate? I live in Texas.
