at where i use to work, we had a time clock summary report that would print out each morning and the opening manager had to file it. it would list every employee that worked the day before, when they clocked in and out, and how long they worked. if they clocked early or late, it included those hours, though managers could go back and change it if they needed to. though each business is different, so i dont knw about where you work at.

It depends on the pulse rate that they take. Normally it is 15 mins. so at every 15 mins they will calculate and quarter hour. And the rouding off takes place to the nearest thing. For e.g. if you punch out at 2.01 then it will be 2 but if u do at 2.10 then they will count 2 + quarter of an hour.

Some places don't really care and they round it off. But, others may take off 10 or 15 minutes from they pay because they are cheapskates looking out for the bottom line.

if i were your employer i would not count the minute that you clocked out , one usually rounds it off, so if you signed out at 2:10, i would pay for 15 minutes and when you sign out at 2:01 i would not pay for the minute..in time it works out even and the employee usually comes out ahead..
