Here's my question/conern:
I just got hired into a finance firm, and I work in a CUBICLE for about 8 to 10 hours each day. Sitting about 7 feet behind me is a very large and NOISY printer that has an internal fan running all day inside of it. I try to ignore it, but it hurts my ears after a while. I asked my manager if the printer can be moved to another location. She said no, but did offer me the option to switch MY location. So, I tried out the new spot. The new cubicle wasn't without IT'S fair share of problems. The A/C made the spot very chilly, and, since it is away from the printer, you can now clearly hear the office's fluxtuating A/C system- sounds like "brrrrrrr, ::pause::, brrrrrrr, ::pause, brrrrr..." So, now I have a dilemma. Stay with the Printer, or move to icy-annoying land. I am afraid that if I move, I will find the new spot as WORSE, and then the OLD spot (next to the printer) will be taken up by another.Suggestions?

I am actually on my mom's policy, (we split the bill) and we are unable to come up with all the money they want(two months payments) totaling $1200.00. today is the cutoff day on our insurance now. she told me just to go to a different insurance company. her name is the name on the insurance we have now, so i don't think they will find out, or will they? please help!

I know there's a lot of these topics here, but I wanted to start my own.

During the summer, I had a private "mechanic" fix my car for 400+ dollars. I was at work, so my Dad wrote him a check to cover it. Upon driving the car home, I noticed that the brakes (something that he wasn't supposed to even touch) were shot: completely shot.

I decided to have the brakes fixed somewhere else...the mechanic obviously screwed up my brakes, so I didn't want to take it to him.

At the dealership that I had my car towed to, I was charged roughly 400 dollars for the brake repair. Since the first mechanic did as much damage and he did repairs, payment was stopped on the check.

A few months later, I bumped into the guy, and he was furious. He brought up the incident, and I told him that there was noway in Hell I was going to pay him for damaging my car after being hired to fix it. He stormed away, and I haven't heard from him since.

Can he still pursue this? I live in Ohio, by the way.

I know good service is key, but aside from that how can I get a lot of tips? I work at a fairly busy coffee shop and I would like feedback about how you feel about giving a barista tips. Do you feel obligated to put a dollar in the tip jar if you see a lot of dollar bills? There are also people who will allow me to take change out of my tips if i run out of pennies or nickles so I can give them back ALL their change.

I am a rookie manager, and believe in macro managing; I usually leave my employees alone when they get their work done. Recently, I’ve noticed a few of my employees are spending more time surfing the web and chatting on-line; in fact, at times, they actually put the work off until they finish surfing the web and chatting with their. I have tried to ask them to get going on their work "NOW", but that only works the first few times. I am extremely concern about their priorities at work.
I went over the company policy today, but the manual did not indicate whether an employee "should or should not surf the web". What can I do to stop this matter and at the same time still give employee their rights of using the net?

hi it is me again thank you for all your help but in my two questions i forgot to tell you that i have a job in a day care center put i m not working because i got breast cancer and i return to work on jan of 2007 well it turn out that i forgot to cancal the check because my mom aslo paid and i keep calling and calling and they are just giving me the round around and we know this is a scam because they keep telling to talk to this person and the next hour they tell me to talk to somebody and i call the person and they are not in the office also the mind office is out of the states and they said that they can not give me the office mumber and all my payments are later and my mother does not trust me no more plus i have to pay the bank plus all my other payments were charge to the bank and i just don't know what to do please help me i also call my friend to talk to her put she has not call me back i have another friend that know my situation put she also wants to rule my life

When you get health care insurance through work and they talk about deductible- is that what you have to pay BEFORE they pay for services? I feel like I am not spending quality time with my husband. I am always at work and when I actually get time off I get called back into work. I don't want my husband to feel neglected. We miss being together like before when I did't work as much as I do know.
I was promoted to manager of a store and we had to move 60 miles from where we used to live and we are still trying to unpack everything and I feel like all we are doing is working and not spending any quality time to bond, like snuggling.
