They don't have to, but the ones that do consider it a "benefit" in order to lure you in to work for them. Most full-time employees get holiday pay (the usual 8 hours) and I know some places that also pay their part-timers as well (usually 4 hours).

It's strictly up to the employer to pay it or not. Read your manual or ask your human resource person for the details.

your employer should have that in your employee handbook, or ask an employee that has been there a couple years that is full time. I am not sure if every place is the same, but I don't think so. There are certain requirements you have to meet to get holiday pay.

Depends on where you are.

But to make this world a better place anyone with half a job should get holiday pay. It makes the world go around. People go on holiday > businesses make money > more employees can afford holiday > more businesses make more money...

There isn't any law requiring holiday pay from an employer. That would be a pretty crummy job but its up to the owners.
