My husband and I bought a house in Aug 2005, we just had the roof replaced because it leaked everywhere. We were told by the seller that the roof was replaced once...that was a lie. We now have so much black mold and rotten wood that our new roof is going to cost us over $10,000. Our insurance won't cover it because they say that it took over a year for it to develop and grow to that level. There was a home inspection but according to the paperwork, the inspector did not even inspect the roof. Are there any reprocussions on the inspector or the previous owner (they lied in the disclosure)? I would appreciate any advice that anyone may have. Thanks!

They told me out of the $3200 they say I owe with interest, that they would bring it down to 1600 if I pay in 24 hours, but the other option is to give them $2400 and they will clear it from my credit report where it won't effect my credit score so my credit score will go up to the pont like it wasnt ever there.
Can they actually do this? or is this a scam.

If I just pay the $1600 would it be the same with me contacting the credit bureaus myself?

Thanks!

For the last year I have been verbally harassed from the owner of my company I work for. He woulf come up to my face and tell me on an alomost daily basis that he was paying me (which is a story within itself) and that he wanted more sales. Several times he put his hands toward my throat as if to choke me and cursed me out when I asked him to back down. What should I do?

Services that you pay for are getting increasingly poor by the day.
I recently went to the ATM at my bank and used my debit card to withdraw a substancial amount of money. It was a lot 'casue I was paying bills that day and I like to pay with cash to the utilities, phone and groceries.
Well the atm debited my account but did not dispense the money.
That happened on a Friday. I went immediately into the bank and after a long (disappointing) conversation with the branch manager, I was told that all I could do ios file a dispute and that it was going to take at least 10 business days to get my money back "provided I was not defrauding the bank" (yes he actually said that!).
I was so angry with the treatment I received that on Monday I opened a new account at another bank, withdrew my savings, and made arrangements to transfer my loans too.
Now when I go into any business I expect courteous, attentive response to my patronage. If I don't get it I will contact the District manager.

I work in the accounts department at my work. my job is expense ledger clerk. The problem is that all i do in the job is type numbers into a computer and ansew phones. i am already aat foundation qualified. i am near completing my aat intermediate level as i have passed the recording and evaluating costs and revenues exam and i am retaking the maintaining finanacial records and accounts exam. someone else in my department has been promoted to the other side of accounts which deals with balance sheets and profit and loss accounts. he does not even have aat foundation. why are they doing this and are they making a fool out of me because they knew i was studying the higher level of aat. can anyone help?

Granted it only takes 3 minutes for me to walk down a hall, use the restroom and return, but i can't control something that's preprogrammed into every human being. Is this legal?

yes or no? and if you answer, please provide a link or something stating proof.

To make this even more puzzling. They make salaried employees clock out for bathroom breaks as well. Totally bizarre to me. Thanks in advance for any good help!

Paid health care premiums (i.e. about 2/3); vacation, holiday and sick pay; stock options, cash balance plan (no contribution from me) and a 401(k) plan (I haven't yet opened the 401(k) account).

Thank you.

Hey guys!!

I just got off the phone with a woman who called and wanted to set up an interview for a potential job tomorrow. She Was asking a few questions over the phone just to get an idea of who I am and my job related experience and she asked me what I would like to be paid hourly----I didn't want to flat out say a specific number, so I told her that it was negotiable and I would accept whatever they felt comfortable offering me. Here's the thing though: on the job advertisement I responded to online it said that the position started at $13.00 per hour......do you think since I said what I said to her pay rate question she will offer me that starting rate or try to offer me something less? Thanks guys, and wish me luck for my interview tomorrow!! :)

my mom and dad are re-mortgaging their house. they told the bank all about their credit history, and they are ok with that. but they also told them that i live there, and my credit history sucks, because i've just gone through a divorce (my husband used to spend tons) and so i have judgements and things against me and my husband. will this affect my mom and dad's remortgage?? I hope not, it's got me really worried.
