I have to do a design project, and create a buisness so I decided to make a mixed cd of up and coming, unknown artists. If anyone has a band and would like to submit a song let me know, project is due in December

I have been negotiating with this company in Europe which makes beautiful kids' items. She, the director, liked our marketing plan, including our wish to become her solo distributor in our country. Well, she told us we could start to import her products as a stockist. We have been working so hard to show her how good we will sell her products to retaillers here. Now that almost everything is ready and we can finally place our first order from her, she tells us there's another company who's also interested in importing her products.

We knew that there would be competion over becoming a solo distributor before we are able to show her how well we can sell to retaillers. But we didn't know nor think there's another company already.

We are very new in our business and have no experience just yet like everybody has their first time on anything.

What would be my best move to make here? How can I win a solo distributor
agreement over an experienced company?

Is it for the company management to be quiet, or is it for the investment bank underwriter?

I've been at my new retail job for 3 weeks as a part-time sales rep. I like it so far but yesterday my boss approached me and told me to take responsibility for all the store paperwork to ensure audit compliance, which is a management responsibility. AlI the paperwork was a mess but it's almost under control now. I don't mind the work but in order to achieve what he wants there must be major changes in the lax way the store is run. In the meantime, I'll be stepping on the toes of the other employees (including the assistant manager) by instructing them on their jobs and just by having such a major responsibility when they've been there longer. I do have management experience so I can do the work, but shouldn't I request a raise or at least full time hours for taking on management responsibilities, or should I just wait it out and see what happens?

ok, I had a problem last year and I didn't pay a chase credit card with a balance of 200 bucks. well of course they added interest late fees and over limit fees every month and now the balance is 1000 bucks. It has been sent to a collection agency and they called me and told me that i would be going to court to have the matter settled which will cost me money in legal fees etc....
is this true? or does it just go to bad credit on my report? Are the people that bought the chargeoff just trying to scare me into paying it?
thanks for your answers...

I am the owner of some land and property. I the GRANTOR have given my mother the GRANTEE "life estate" to this land and property with a remainder to me. It is worded as follows: (excerpt from deed)

"the GRANTOR hereby bargains, sells, grants and convey unto the GRANTEE, a Life Estate with a remainder to the Grantor"...

*** So here's my question; I thought this is called a "estate in reversion" not an "estate in remainder". Can they co-exist?

I guess it might just be the wording of the deed and the legalees of my state, but everything I reed about life estates and future interest suggest that a remainder is a future interest holder other than the person who orinionally gave someone life estate. I mean in context, I suppose even with the way my deed was worded that it is still understood as an Estate in Reversion simply because I owned it first and gave my mother life estate and it reverts back to me or as the deed suggest I just receive the remainder. Just a little confusing.

Dear Sir,
I have just sold some immovable property and would like to learn about my options to save on tax. I have heard that it is possible to invest in some bonds to save on capital gains. What are the available bonds under this scheme and how do I choose among them?
Thank you.

I have been following the news and quite honestly, I'm astounded at the media attention this Farepack hamper company is being given, and the please for help. I cannot understand why people have even been considering this as a means to providing for Christmas, the hampers are ridiculously over priced, the toys and gifts, crap and vouchers, well, they can be purchased throughout the year. So why, do so many of the so called 'low income' groups fall for this type of business, why not simply be self disciplined and save money in a bank where you cannot get access without say 90 days' notice, or buy vouchers throughout the year and put safe to one side, and with regards food, why not simply put aside the free goods on the BOGOFF deals?
I also do not understand the government giving this air time, this is a business gone bust, if it were a sofa company with promises to deliver in time fro Christmas, and went bust, they would'nt be getting air time in the House of Commons? WHY, is this?

The entire situation is this:
A small business in which credit sales fluctuate greatly from year to year uses the direct write-off method for income tax purposes and in its financial statements.
What accounting concept or principle is this, if any. Does this violate and practices in accord with the generally acceptd accounting principles.
