I am looking at buying a franchise business. What are some good questions to ask of this company ? The company is PODS. thanks in advance

ask what the cost to buy into this is (the start up cost). ask about the term of the agreement, ask amout what kind of help they are going to give you to help this business get up and running? Good luck

a) Do you provide financing?
b) What do you provide in terms of training - for you, materials for staff?
c) How do you determine your advertising placement? i.e. area and frequency?
d) What is your advertising budget?
e) How close can another franchise start?
f) How much freedom will I have in adding local merchandise?
g) Do you provide liability/health insurance for my employees?
h) What do you dictate in terms of hours of operation/signage/employee per $ or customer ratio?
i) What obligation would I have if the franchise fails?
j) What freedom would I have to sell the franchise - do they have to approve the buyer?
k) What is your supply delivery timeframe/guarantee?
l) Are there promotional benefits for stores - how is this figured?
m) Are there store competitions to build employee morale?
n) What is you legal liability/support to/with my franchise?
0) Do you determine charity support nationally or can you do it locally to build good will?
p) Do they provide accounting assistance for taxes?
q) Do they have employee/store quality guidelines.
