I just spent 5 yrs in chapter 13 and. I payed in $72000. Did everything the court asked. Sometimes taking $80 per week home to live on. Sometimes closing off all rooms in the house in the winter except for the kitchen and bathroom and using a kerosene heater to keep the pipes from freezing. I was determined that I was going to keep my home. My trustee asked my morgage co. to sent him or I a coupon book so I could take over paying. Next thing I received was a letter from my morgage co. saying the payment was not made for January. I called them sure there was some kind of mistake only for them to tell me I was $13000 behind and they were in the process of foreclosing. They raised my garnishment twice during this time from $277 to $292 to 349 per week. If I would have know this was going to happen I would have filed chapter 7 five yrs ago.

I heard if you claim a lower number of exempts on your W-4( the form from your employer) then pick the other exempt that you qualified for back up in the end (filing your taxes) you could receive a larger return. Is this true?

I was terminated on my last job, and now I need a letter but I don't know how to construct it. A letter asking my boss to sign to attest certification form for my audit hours worked.
Thanks!

I have bad credit, but got a refinance, and have paid off most of my credit cards, but have one that I still owe on. Because of a nasty divorice there were payments that were late. How long does it take to increase my credit so I can get credit again? I got the refinance because my boss has a friend at the bank. I have been on time for almost a year, have paid off two credit cards, paying off the third and make higher than the minimum payment. I also pay more on the mortgage payment than the minimum.

I'm starting a business (a record label), and I want to use "Transcendental Records" as the name for it; I've used the Google method but I don't know if those are actually legit labels or business names. I've seen the words come up one or two times but no official web site or anything; I mean, I'm actually filing for a business license as well as DBA license in Virginia and I don't want to get sued. How does this work? And if somebody has the same name in another state can they sue me? I find it hard to believe that no two businesses have the same name. Please help!

I'm new at my job. I'm an assistant to the Vice President . . . but I can't figure out if I'm suppossed to be doing things like asking him if he wants coffee and stuff like that . . . I've never done that for anyone.

My job is really to do the art for the company he just assigns me what to do and tells me what he likes and what needs to be changed.

In addition, is it rude to walk to his office everytime I have a question about some art I'm working on? I hate using the phone, I'd rather walk, and to me it makes more sense, seeing as I think with art he needs to see what I am talking about.

I just took a new job and I don't know if it is considered rude to eat at my desk. There is a small kitchen area (very small, not place to eat). I never eat food that smells. I typically eat half a sandwhich or a nutrigrain bar. Is this acceptable? I dont see other people around me eatting at their desk, but then again, I don't look. I figure they must because I sometimes smell food cooking.
