If you had two pay checks, but wanted to save them (not deposit right away), where would you hide them for "safe keeping"...

Have you seen the TV show "To catch a thief"?
these guys look for stuff anywhere, so any valuables or money WONT be safe in any place in the house. You need to deposit your check RIGHT AWAY when you get paid. Better yet, try to get direct deposit from your employer. If you want to save money, put an amount aside in a savings account or something!
#2 if you cant find your check YOU MUST speak to your supervisor, they can put a stop payment on the checks issued, and re-issue new ones.

Why would you not deposit a check? That seems very silly. You should always deposit a check as soon as you get it. That said, if I was silly and decided to put my check aside for "safe keeping" (which obviously wasn't too safe) then I would likely throw it in a drawer somewhere or a filing cabinet or on that large stack of papers on my desk where it would get lost and I'd end up feeling like a fool for losing my check.

Similar situation happened to me while I was working in San Jose, CA and I was traveling a lot out of town. The paycheck was never found. It was only $ 300 or so. So I now I deposite the check right away.

I would cash them and put the money away some place. Checks are only good for about 90 days if you don't do something with them, who ever gave them to you might but a stop on them if you don't cash them.
