I am living in a apertment and my leasing contract expires this month, and I need a Move out notice in writing to give to my landlord so he can accept and move out with no problems at all. Anyone have any ideas how to do this,..or samples as references. Thank you!

Just say some thing to the extent of:

"Date: (Put today's date)

Dear Management:

I will be moving out of apartment # (give your apartment number) on (give the date). My forwarding address is: (if you know the address where you will be moving to it is a good idea to include that).

Thank You,

(Sign your name)"

***** Now the problem I see right now as a property manager is if your lease is up at the end of the month you will not be giving a FULL 30 DAY NOTICE. You will probably be reasponsible until 30 days from the date you have turned in your notice.*****

Good Luck

I've never heard of a "Move Out Notice":- but you need to read your contract, and the terms and conditions that apply. If you are not intending to renew for another year, you needed to give Notice IN Writing - 30-60 days in advance of your Termination Date. Just move out, especially if your Landlord hasn't come by with a new Contract. That's the best advice I can give you, Try the library, they carry lots of "forms".

USED to be, you can stay until your rent runs out. Sending them a notice? I usually knew before I moved in, when I was moving out, and told them up front. Just go to the renter, and tell them that you have this situation that came up, and you will be moving on "x" date. If you deviate from that date though, the renter may have already found a rentee and you can be put on the street.

JUST TELL THE TRUTH AND ........state that the lease has expired and you will clean-up and you expect that the deposit be returned to you ------------- re-read the contract-lease and do what is expected of you by those terms of contract.............wc
