Do I go to a real estate agent? Do I go to a bank or mortgage company first? How do I find out about first time buyers benefits? Does it cost anything to get pre-qualified? What kind of money do I need up front? I've never bought a house before and have no idea where to start. Any suggestions?

My husband works for a union and in the 20 yrs he has worked for this company, he has been moved 8 times. Now he is being moved to another location and working hours much later than he is now. We feel that this is harassment and is causing emotional distress. The union never does anything to help him. Does he have any options?

I have just graduated college and am trying to get out of my mom's house. The employer says the avg. income is 80,000 which is probably exagerated. Also I am supposed to bring a check for 250$ with me to pay for a background check and other things. Isnt the employer supposed to pay for that?

Guy in question has the Bank asking questions regarding income vs. job. He owns several buildings to which he receives Gov't stipen for letting homeless people reside - hence, generating more income than his Grocery store clerk would make. Don't known if back taxes, or property taxes, liens, etc., are involved, but don't want to inherit those financial burdens by accepting this temporary transfer of property. I believe I should have an agreement in Writing stating his and my intentions, as well as Not being legally responsible for debt incurred in past, or, during the transfer period. Do I need a lawyer, or, can a Notary just do a Deposition between us? I don't want to ruin my credit by helping out a friend - which he asked me if I have good credit.

I'm selling my home in Orange County and I'm wonding if I will physically be attending the closing. Do the buyers attend? Or do the realtors and title company just do all the work?
Also, I arranged to have the proceeds wired to my bank account? How long does it usually take for a seller to get these funds?
Thanks!

This debt is not owed . . . but I can't prove it. So, to clean up my credit I am trying to pay the so-called debt ($1200) anyhow. The collection agents call two or three times a day and everytime I decide to speak to them I offer to pay $50 dollars a month. That is all I can afford right now, but they say . . No! They want at least a $100 dollars a month. Should I just start sending the $50 a month certified mail? I want this debt, the phone calls, the stress to go away. What should I do?
