Your best bet for this type of information is your county records. If they have a website, it can usually be accessed from your city's/county's web page.

Go to the website for that state and check in the taxes section. I know that MD has a great site for it and it lists all previous buyers and what they paid for the house as well as taxes they paid on it. You will have to do is enter the street address and the zip code if, I'm not mistaken..

Most sites, like www.zillow.com or your county's tax parcel history will only show about 10 years worth. You'd have to get a title report and all underlying docuemtns (chain of title) to try and get any further-- and you'll probably have to pay for that.

I dont know any website, but possibly a local government agency might be able to help. All you need to do is take your papers to some lawyer dealing with housing.

On your deed it should have all the exchange of hands on it. Also, you can to your local municipal building and get that information. So states have it up on websites....so check your gov. website for that state.
