You don't need an agent or anything, they will just take a nice cut out of your compensation.. just phone the company that you have your endowment with, most of these companies have a special department to deal with these claims.
I phoned mine and I got all of my shortfall back, took about 8 weeks from beginning to end, no evidence was needed and only one form to fill in.

Yes i claimed compensation, i went to the firm whom i got the endowment from they investigated and paid me off. I got a lot more back than i had paid in for a 5 year old endowment policy.. Use the one that advertises on the TV or approach the firm where you got the policy, if they don't except responsibility for selling you a policy that should not have been sold you should take the matter further.. see CAB...

Yes got £1100 for a 23 grand mortgage which we had for 5 years
Peter Waggitt Financial adviser, was the chap who sorted it He is based in Ely Cambs, sorry cant find the Phone No try a 118 no.
He will want 25% of any profit. He was excellent and speedy in claiming our money.

I put in a compensation claim with my endowment insurer who originally rejected it. 6 months later they changed their minds!
Well worth pursuing.

we put a claim in but it was capped and they had covered everything so we did not get a penny.. which was awful because it took ages to collect lots of evidence which we thought we had a good case...
