We received the letter saying how much my husband will get on disability, but this is the 13th day with no?

check, how long does it take to get a check? we are in Northern Califirnia..

sorry, it is disability due to not working, cause he needs surgery.

I was told the amount I was going to get three months before I had even started recieving my checks. How long did it take for your husband to get approved? Did you have to get an attorney? Is your attorney recieving the money from you or is it automatically getting deducted from the amount he is recieving? When you get approved they will multiply how ever much you are approved for
each month by the amount of months it took you to get approved then you will recieve that amount first. Did he ask for direct deposit into his account? If so, it might already be there and you just haven't seen it for yourself. If you did not ask for direct deposit and you have not recieved the check within two to three months after your approval you can just call 1-800-772-1213 and they can let you know what is going on or how much longer you may have to wait. This number is the federal number which is where his income will be coming from. You can call this number when ever you have any problems or changes with your checks and things pretty much get solved easier. This is the only answer I believe any one could give. Try to calthem now if you want, but most likely they will say it takes seven to ten weeks before you will get your check

wow... well I guess you can call the place he is getting disability from. I'm assuming that it is from ss. As far as I know, it could take about a month to get your first check....

disability thru who?social security?veterans administration?private insurance company?make a phone call to whoever is supposed to be sending it!
