My husband is an ex-felon and is having a hard time finding a job. Are there any resources in Central Arkansas to help felons find employment. He's a good guy, no drugs, no alcohol. Employers just throw up a red flag when he answers "yes" on the dreaded 'ever been convicted of a felony' question.

See, I just bought a house with my husband on 01 of '06 (this year) and he cheated on me so we are getting a divorce, selling the house and everything. We both live in our separate homes now. Should I do the taxes with him next year?, he says we should file jointly, I dont think we should. Are there any benefits to doing it jointly?

My parents paid a good amount of money to a "company" called College Money Matters and they stayed in contact with us for a few weeks. But after we stopped receiving phone calls and e-mails from them, we've tried to contact them. But their website is permanently under construction, their phone number is disconnected, and their e-mails are fake. They're supposedly located in Utah, but we think that address is a phony too. My mom has given up but I refused to let her settle for being cheated out of a large amount of money. If anyone knows anything I can do, please help. We've contacted Judge Judy, Shame on You, Better Business Bureau, but they all say they can't do anything unless they know the address of the company or if the company contacts them back, which they refuse to do. Please help!

I have a co-worker that told me yesterday that when she puts stuff in her check book, she rounds up to the next dollar instead of putting the exact amount. She says that it saves her a lot more money that way. I'm thinking of trying that, so I don't keep spending all my money before the next payday. I do put money in savings, but to save myself more in my checking, I think that would be a good idea. What do you guys think, or do any of you try this yourselves and how has it worked for you?

In the business class i am taking we are doing a "stock project" and the prices are confusing me... We have to make a spreadsheet with all the prices and gains and losses..(just a bunch of number).. but i was looking at the historical prices on yahoo and i dont understand that it can close at one price and open at a different price... for instance CVX closed one night at $65.64 and opened the next morning at $65.83??? i guess my question is if the stock market is closed then why are the numbers different?? we are supposed to use the "last trade" number i dont know if that is the number that it closed at the night before or the number it opened at the next morning??

I am trying to figure out how this would be classified on a balance sheet: A retail company who sells clothing invests $50,000 in a real estate property that it plans to sell in 18 months. How is this treated? Is the investment an asset or is it some type of equity?
