I recently had a baby in july of 06 and ended up moving in with her dad. All the while I had been renting an apartment (lease started in 3/06, ending 3/07). Not knowing that it is mandatory that I keep the electric on, and being that I am never there, I let the electric Co disconnect. About two weeks after(10/24), my landlady called me to advise that me electric had been cut off and that I have to have it on. She told me that there is a 7 day eviction notice hanging on my door. I've always paid my rent on time and followed all the rules. I told her I didn't know that my electric had to be on and that I had no way of paying to get it turned back on until after the 7 days, she said she couldnt do anything about my situation. I've actually wanted to move out because that rent $$ would be extra $$ in my pocket, but I don't want to leave on bad terms. If I pay my rent for 11/06 and get evicted will my credit be ok? or am I obligated to pay rent til my lease is up?

I opened an account over 1 month ago. The emails about how to access my money made zero sense and they never mailed my my login info despite calling twice to make sure they had my home address right. Finally, I got fed up and closed my account which they botched as well. PLUS they wanted to take away my interest and charge me $25 termination fee! I feel like I sent my money to some ponzi scheme in nigeria! Chime in if you had a bad experience. Good experiences are welcome as well....but I'd never recommend this bank to anyone. I am moving my business elswhere.....

i just got this new job and the secretary explained expense reports to me the other day (i was thinking about how bad i wanted to give her the hot beef injection). so she said i should fill out an expense report if i am doing something that the company should pay for. well, i live pretty far from my work, and gas costs a lot so i filled out an expense report and slapped the gas on there because i wouldn't be able to work without getting there. i also figured that because i buy lunch while i am working the company should pay for that so i charged them for my lunch fees because i couldn't work if i didn't eat lunch because i am hypoglycemic. also, i ordered a CD from amazon.com online today at work and charged them for it because i cannot work with out the soothing sounds of the ocean cascading in the background of my cubicle. i also charged them for my stress hammer. i filled out all the papers properly, but i was asked to leave indefinitely. do i have a lawsuit?

My fiance and I want to buy a house and I am in charge of figuring the cost. I need a list of things that will be a cost to us such as water, heating, garbage.
I have water, hearing and garbage... what else?

Also a resource of the cost of living in Northwestern Indiana would be ultra-helpful.

I spend a large amount of money (appx $11,000 each month) advertising with different search engines, all which are on a cost per click basis. An agent is offering to charge is $600 per month to optimize our accounts. What exactly would he be doing that I could not do on my own? ie. changing cost per click, ad positions, etc.

My credit card company sent me a notice that they're changing my balance transfer fee maximum from $75 to $250. I use balance transfers sometimes, so this is bad for me.

They said in the notice that I can "opt-out" and reject these changes, but at the end of my membership year, they will CLOSE my account and I will have to "repay the balance under the current terms."

I'm not even sure what that last part means. Sounds like they will close my account and I'll have to pay the final balance? Also, if they close my account, won't that hurt my credit score?
