How much does it pay an hour? To the girl who answered previously that I didnt compose the question right, it was only a typing error. People commit mistakes sometimes.

Start pay for pharm techs is about $8-$9 per hour, and you will max out at about $14 per hour. Pharm tech is not a bad job, but there is not much room for advancing. If the technology changes, pharm techs will be the first to go.
Do not take any community college courses for this because it is not worth it. The store will teach you all you need to know.

I would recommend pharmacy technology to anyone who has not had much or any college experience. There are a lot of Pharmacists that will actually pay for you to get licensed to be a pharmacy tech, and when I studied to become one, I thought it was a very interesting line of business. The only thing about it is you HAVE to be very precise, accurate and detailed about your work, and it involves a lot of math (hopefully your good at it). I'm not to sure how much it pays because every state is different, but here in New Mexico, it can be a decent paying & interesting job (you get to work with all the addicts :) ). I believe you definitly can make a good living as a pharmacy tech with time and experience (just gotta be patient).

Here if you work in the front part of a pharmacy as just a cashier or in the photo lab it is 7 dollars an hour. If you are a pharmacy assistant it is 8-12 dollars an hour. (8 if you just walk-in with no schooling or work experience in a pharmacy a little higher.)

Depends on where you live thoguh I guess- thats in Indiana.

Well I don't know where you live but in the Northern Virginia area they make $10 - $14 an hour. The pay reflects on the cost of living in your area. So it may be more or less.
