i just got this new job and the secretary explained expense reports to me the other day (i was thinking about how bad i wanted to give her the hot beef injection). so she said i should fill out an expense report if i am doing something that the company should pay for. well, i live pretty far from my work, and gas costs a lot so i filled out an expense report and slapped the gas on there because i wouldn't be able to work without getting there. i also figured that because i buy lunch while i am working the company should pay for that so i charged them for my lunch fees because i couldn't work if i didn't eat lunch because i am hypoglycemic. also, i ordered a CD from amazon.com online today at work and charged them for it because i cannot work with out the soothing sounds of the ocean cascading in the background of my cubicle. i also charged them for my stress hammer. i filled out all the papers properly, but i was asked to leave indefinitely. do i have a lawsuit?

Are you serious?!

First of all... I wouldn't say it aloud if you were "thinking about how bad i wanted to give her the hot beef injection" because that just shows how little you respect your coworkers.

And you've been working there HOW long?! The company doesn't need to pay for your gas, or your food! That's why you have this small thing called "A SALARY"

And there was no need for the CD. That was something you should have bought with your own money, that is usually called a salary, on your own time.

No, you don't have a lawsuit. You have a relatively huge lack of common sense.

You can file a lawsuit, but you'll most likely be wasting your time. Unless you live in a state that can protect your employment, your company can fire you for about anything they want that's legal. If they feel you were abusing company funds, they can fire you for that. As for your CD purchase you charged to the company, is that a joke or what?

Are you kidding ?You deserve to be fired for making them pay for something you want only unless the company agrees to this up front then and only then can one do what you did.Ask first!

Yes, you do have a lawsuit. I think the corpse of Johnny Cochrane is still returning calls.
