I work at a foodstore which pays me seven dollars an hour, my hours varies from 32 hours a week to 40. i can't find a good cheap apartments because they cost overly six hundred dollars a month per rent. I am gonna get a second job.

I just wonder if people should ever reduce prices on things and raise paychecks for us all? I mean do they expect us to all be naked, starven, skinny, and shetlerless people?

Its a known fact that minimum wage in this country makes it nearly impossible to live off of. But it is possible. Get a 2 bedroom for about 650-700 and split rent and utilities and its doable. But you cant go finance a car or put yourself in debt with credit cards.

Also, you should work on being a dream worker and moving your way up or finding a compnay that pays more. I made $8.25 to start at 18 years old and was bumped to $9 in 90 days. So while thats not a lot of money, it wsa enough for me to live on-- even iwth a car payment/insurance. (But I did have a roomie.)

Because the wages are what the federal, state, and local government regulates, the rent is what the person who owns your building wants so there is nothing you can do. And no the companies won't raise prices because of all the people that work in that company that product your buying is a portion of there paycheck and there is many people involved in a product from the manfactures, distrubtion, office workers, head of companies, and the little people in between. If a paycheck is raised that means more money has to come from some where to pay for that paycheck so the company has to raise the prices. And if you can't do it on a paycheck over there you need to rethink where your money goes it does not seem like you know where it goes.

It's the free market and it encourages people to better themselves (go to college, get a better job, start your own business, etc.). If wages were higher, prices would also have to go up to cover the wages. Money for such things doesn't grow on trees.

listen the reason u have this problem is becuase you have a dead end job, so go to collage, get some viable skills, and get a decent job. and by the way, such low pay jobs are usually taken by teenagers who want to make some money to buy CDs and stuff while their parents still pay for food, rent, water, etc.

Reported for what, exactly? Did he offend you in some way?

If so, a thicker skin might be in order, but that is just a suggestion.
