i have been considering getting a tattoo for years now but still havent found something unusual weird creative meaningful bright and not to big. iv tried drawing my own but never get it right. can any1 sugest a site or a picture. please....

I already know for sure what im getting on my inner wrists. ive wanted them since i was about 15. They are my sisters (2) names.
which way it would face? (when flipping your arms over so your wrists face you [this is the part where most people flip their arms over :p] would the names be facing yourself? or upside down?
and how much? the names would be arielle and amber. and i have tiny wrists. i am a very small girl.
and what font would you suggest? i have a few in mind i found on some font websites but if you have examples it would be greattt. thanks!

ive been through alot of bad times in my life and im getting a tattoo to comemorate how strong ive been through it all. its a full back tattoo, starting at my collar bone on my chest and going over my shoulders down my back to about my mid thighs. its shredded wings, signifying that even though ive been through hell, im still here and flying higher then ever, my question is where is the best to get these wings done. price isnt an issue, ive been planning this tattoo since i was 15, and im 23 now. any good ideas where to get it done at?

I got this huge tattoo starting from my hips and runs on my back then finishes on my other side of the ribs...but the thing is...it itches so BAD...I had it done 2-Saturdays ago...I've been putting Ointment on it...but why DOES it itches then it gets swollen?... should I be worried?

I don't mean to be gross, but here goes: My new tattoo (48 hours old) on the top of my foot is oozing slightly (not alot at all) in one or two places. Is this normal, or am I doing something wrong? I've been following the artists instructions for after-care, but he didn't have me using any antibacterial ointment afterwards. I've been gently washing the tatto with luke-warm water about 3x a day and putting scent-free, petrolium jelly-free lotion on it afterwards. Yesterday, I had to wear boots and socks for about 2.5 hours, so maybe its' irritated 'cuz of that... The area surrounding the tatto isn't swollen or inflamed, but feels sortof stiff and hurts a little bit when I walk. Also, I've been wearing open-top shoes for the past two days to avoid fading. Sorry for all of the detail. I want to make sure you have enough info to help me out.

I just got my first tattoo on Sunday - my 18th birthday. The pain was not at all what I expected (it wasn't nearly as horrible as I thought it would be.) ANYWAYS, so it's Tuesday morning and I can't even tell that I got a tattoo... it doesn't hurt, it doesn't seem to be peeling... it's not red or sensitive or feeling tight. Is this normal? Should I still put lotion on it? Is this just part of the process? What should I expect, if anything in the near future regarding the healing process? Am I just really lucky to not be in pain?

I want a scarification sidepiece, most likely floral, but not definitely.
Any suggestions as to what flowers, or whether to do something else entirely are appreciated.

some guy was telling me he got his tattoo done the hard way which was by a needle and he said tattoo machines hurt less...but doesnt a tattoo machine also have needles therefore it feels the same??? exactly what is the difference between getting a tattoo done with a tattoo machine or a needle???

I want to get a tattoo so badly, but I am so scared of the pain. This may sound stupid, but I am serious. One night when I Was drinking with friends, I was at the point of feeling pretty good and thought, I want to get a tattoo and wanted to go right then and there, but my friends said I could not get one with alcohol in my system for some reason. Is that true? They said the tattoo place would not do it, but is that just because they don't want you to wake up the next day regreting it, or is there a medical reason?

My tattoo artist told me to use aquaphor ointment on my new tattoo but then everyone else is say lotion. A coworker told me that aquaphor would make it scab over and the idea is to not let it scab by keeping it moist. I'm so confused!!! HELP!

I give blood regularly (I'm 20 and have given 2 gallons already). It is something very important to me. I just got a tattoo Saturday and have been wanting one for a while but knew I couldn't give blood for a year after getting the tattoo. I told one of my good friends that I was sad I couldn't give for a year and she said they check the state where you had it done to see how long you can't give for. She told me that some places you only had to wait 3 months! I give blood at the American Red Cross if that makes any difference. I live in GA and had my tattoo done in FL. Does anyone know how long you have to wait for one in FL or if there is any truth to what she said? Thanks so much!
