ive been through alot of bad times in my life and im getting a tattoo to comemorate how strong ive been through it all. its a full back tattoo, starting at my collar bone on my chest and going over my shoulders down my back to about my mid thighs. its shredded wings, signifying that even though ive been through hell, im still here and flying higher then ever, my question is where is the best to get these wings done. price isnt an issue, ive been planning this tattoo since i was 15, and im 23 now. any good ideas where to get it done at?

if you email me what state you live in i'll see if i can find a talented artist in your area. it really is the most important thing to do when getting a tattoo.
good luck with your back piece! it is a long process.

In my opinion, you are doing a great thing. I am very proud of you for overcoming a bad time in your life and glad that you want to show how strong you have been by getting a very beautiful and intricate tattoo like the one you have described. The best place to go, I think if money is no object, is try to get ahold of the guys from Miami Ink, or maybe La Ink, they do great work, and if it is such a great thing for the accomplishment, they would probably put it on television to show how long and great the project is. Otherwise, shop around, you can afford to be choosy when it comes to something like that. make sure to get a reputable and respected artist to do the work, and definitely make sure they use clean and sterile environment.

Well that should attract a slew of really nice guys that have a good job and treat you really well. They will probably open doors for you and be proud to take you to the beach or on vacations. You can show off the ink to impress their mom too! And employers will fight to have you work for them so the public can flock in to see your wings and bring in a small fortune in revenue. I see big pay raises in your future! Even better, make sure you underware show out the back of your pants and always have a half burned out marlboro hanging out of your mouth, then make sure you cuss a lot.

Be proud of what you have overcome but use a little common sense. You want to attract attention to what you have done but "bad attention" isn't better than no attention. Keep the tattoo small enough that you can hide if you have to. You are the only one that cares about the "hell" you have been through". It is sort of like the people that put up shrines along the raod when someone is killed ot put "in rememberance of" stickers on their cars. You see them and shake your head and think "get over it and move on with your life".

If you feel you absolutely have to do it to make yourself feel better, check out the portfolios and ask if you can hang around and watch them work a while. Don't let the first person with a gun and ink lay into you. And shop around for a decent price. It will probably take 6 or 8 trips to get that much work done. Those guys quote you a price off the top of their heads so a lot of the time they will give you a hundred or two off if they know you are shopping around.

Either way good luck but if you think it will make you feel better about yourself you are mistaken.

that's a really nice idea, maybe you should just have it go down to as far as you butt. def talk to your artist about the size they'll give you their thoughts. hope to see the finished product in a tattoo magazine after it's done.

check out - www.tattoonow.com that site will list artists in your area.

Depends on where you live. Just make sure that the place you choose and clean and certified. Ask to see the artist's portfolio. Make sure the place smells cleans from the moment you walk in. Make sure they use gloves. Make sure you see them use an unopened AND sterilized needle. If you feel comfortable there and you like the artist and his/her work, then the choice is yours from there.

the more expensive the artist, most likely the better their work. see if you can find a place that charges by the hour, since that is how real pros do it, and above all, look at their work. if you do not like it, go somewhere else..

sounds like it is going to be awesome.
