He wants a tatoo of the Ultimate Bumblebee on his shoulder. He says that he can take the pain so I'm willing to pay for it if that's what he wants. I give him just about everything he asks for, and I don't want to put up with his tantrums about this anymore.

What's the big deal? If he doesn't like it, we'll just get it removed.

Atleast you don't have to worry about him being bullied around at school. No one will F-with a 5 yr old with a tatoo. I remember kids piercing their own ears in the bathroom with a safety pin in third grade. But I would let him get a tatoo with some family or cultutral significance not a cartoon. I would tell him to wait till he was 10.
Good luck don't listen to most of these people because their parents wouldn't let them get one.

ok firstly... are you sure this is the right thing to do?
im sure that he is probably very annoying and irritating at times, but giving him what he wants does not solve this. Sooner or later he will find out he cant have everthing he wants, which may damage him more than you would think.
Also, do you realise that he will always have this on his arm?
Do you think he will want that bumblebee on his arm when he is 20, 30, 40... he definately wont and he will be left with that scar for life.
Stop giving him everything he wants, and make him realise his tantrums dont get him anywhere. When he throws one, put him in his room and tell him hes not coming out until he calms down. Then i dunno, put on some music to show him your not interested.
Please DONT get your son tatooed. Just take some more time and you will realise its the wrong thing to do
good luck

WTF???? do you even realize what you are saying. this is obviously a joke. NO ONE in their right mind would tatoo a child of 5 years. getting your child tatooed at some junky tatoo parlor is not a good thing. i really don't care what your kid wants. you should NOT get him a tatoo. i'm not telling you how to parent. this a suggestion. by all means, ink up your child just because "you don't want to put up with his tantrums." if your kid is that persistant about getting a tatoo, then take him to a psychologist.

Keep it moisturized, even years after getting it. A good rubbing with coco butter a couple of times a day will keep it looking fresh. Always use a really good sun screen, 30 SPF or higher, when the tattoo will be in direct sunlight for extended periods of time. This will keep it from fading due to sun exposure. If you take good care of your skin in general, that of course will carry over to your tattoo and keep it looking new longer.

It might be more feasible to get an air-brush tattoo or something else non-permanent that doesn't require needles. You could probably find a place that would do that much more easily than someone who would be willing to use needles on a 5-year-old.
That being said, you really shouldn't let your child control you. It's not going to be good for him when he grows older.

Does a child at the age of five understand the meaning of permanence? Wow! Oh and if you want extraordinary orthodontia bills go for the tongue piercing, than your child will not only have corroding enamel on his forming orthodontia he will also be prone to excessive bouts of drooling and the formation of Tempormandibular Joint and Muscle Disorders. Sounds like your trying to give your kid the world because you don't want to deal with him. Don't you think it would be easier to put your foot down now and be a parent, instead of your five years old best friend?

Nowhere, no tatoo artist would never do that unless they did it ilegally. Go to some street corner and start asking peole if they will tatoo your son, thats pretty much the only way.
But trust me, you are amaking a mistake, he is gonna regret that by like, age 6 or 7.

It is illegal & I would think considered child abuse regardless of whether or not your child wants it. If we gave children everything they wanted then they would be like little savages. What you do know will affect his future. I would hate to think that you, as his mom, would cower so easily to a little child. You're an adult, act like one, say no & say it more often. He'll throw tantrums but that'll stop once he finds that mommy is serious.
I, of course, don't think your question is legitimate- atleast I hope no mother in their right mind would take their son to get tatooed- a 5 year old...

Shame on you! I hope a good tatoo artist would call the police if you took your 5 year old son in for one.
