I am wanting to get a tattoo of my 4 year old sons name, but I want something else with it. what should i get?

I dont want for my tat to look plain with just his name I was thinking something amazing, but i caint think of anything. this will be my first tat.

There are so many great options for this. I love the idea of getting his name on you. That's your son, and he'll ALWAYS be your son. Don't listen to the other people about not getting his name. I think it's a beautiful idea.

Anyway! What kind of stuff does your son like? I mean, I understand it might be kind of tough because he is still so young (and you don't want Barney tattooed on you or anything), but is there anything that means alot to him (and you!). There's so many different things you can come up with, I just don't know you guys personally to suggest anything.

Good luck! Maybe think of some stuff that really characterise your son, and try to put that into a tattoo. Put it somewhere kind of private, so it's yours. :)

I think is wonderful that you want to do this. You could just get your sons name in beautiful script and framed with some nice filigree. Good luck, I'm sure this is going to be a very special tattoo for you.

Hey I say go for it! I too have a 4 yr old son and I have a big real life looking blue and green dragonfly and a psychadellic sunset tattoo'd for him. I dont have his name on it but I did consider it. i personally wouldn't get a photo of him as their looks change over time and it could be embarrassing for him when hes 18 or 21 seeing him as a baby on ur body..u know what boys can be like! lol
I like nature designs for children as they are free spirits entering the big wide world of opportunity. I also like the faerie thing too..like a pic of a mother faerie and a smaller child faerie or elf on a toadstool or by a waterfall?? you could easily enscript his name onto a design like that..maybe even tattoo his name into the mother faeries arm or something??

I have a celtic Mother's Love knot on my lower back, and the names of my three children surround the knot. It is a great idea, and my children (including my 13 year old son) love that I did it!

Dont.Tats look terrible when you get older .If he does any embarrassing things growing up most people will know you are his mom when they see youwith him and a lot of people will ask if thatis your husbands or b/f name anyway.
