I like that idea. My husband went and got our kids' names on his forearms in old English and I went and got their feet tattooed on my back. We are very proud parents. But I really like your fiance's idea. its unique and it has meaning to him

No. It's not tacky, just a bad idea. I would get something that might represent them. But not a name and not on a wrist. If something was to happen to the kid then you can not move on. Or if you have a bunch of kids then they might think they are less because their sibling got a better "spot" on them. Wouldn't put it in the wrist either because that could be hard to cover. If you want something in honor of someone, get a picture of something to represent him. Like a ladybug or something.

Then again, that's all preference. To each their own.

I am not big on wrist tattoos but better your childrens names than a partners name. At least the children are always yours. But do you speak hebrew? If not, why hebrew?

That is sweet. No, i don't think it's tacky. What I don't agree with is having your boy/girl friend's or wife/husband's name tattooed on you. Because if you split then you're screwed.

But your children will always be your children. No matter what.

For a guy its OK, I would recommend the spot for a gal. I have 10 and have a wrist tattoo and they are hard to cover when you need too.

I think tattoos that represent your family are always a great idea. You can divorce from your lover, but your child will always be your child - whether in your custody or not.

I wouldn't do it on my wrist, I'm going for a bigger cliche, and getting them between my shoulder blades.

I don't believe in tattoo's, but it's your own choice. Personally, if I was going to get one, I wouldn't get one on my wrist. It's too visible. If you want it visible, that's another thing. Just pay attention to the fact that a lot of employers don't like to see tatts displayed like that.

I don't think it matters what other people think. I think it's extremely sweet, definitely not tacky.
